  1. Driving Tips - Manual Transmission

Fair points - but the reason i posted this was in relation to the ford owners manual which states something along the lines of not to roll in neutral..since this is my first pony - I’m trying to understand the reason for the same. Agreed driving skills cannot be unlearnt after a certain age -...
  2. Pre-Collision Assist - Warning Tone

Did you get an audible beep?
  3. Pre-Collision Assist - Warning Tone

Anybody else noticed that the pre-collision assist audible tone fails to chime if touch audible tones are disabled on the infotainment system settings? The other day as usual some dude cut me off while on the freeway while I was on cruise control , and noticed that the pre-collision assist...
  4. Price Increase

Well - if I didn’t have any other option and couldn’t live without the car - I will not. But at the same time I would hustle with the dealer and get the price I am after.
  5. Price Increase

Walk away if the dealer is unable to honor the order price. That is exactly what I did. You don’t owe them a thing. It’s your special order / if they are greedy - walk way and report to Ford on all social media platforms.
  6. Driving Tips - Manual Transmission

Interesting that you mention not to rest hand on shifter. What are the repercussions ? If one is not really putting a weight on it shifter - does it really matter? Shift knobs are heavy as well these days. So I still don’t get this recommendation. Ford also mentions this.
  7. Frozen MyMustang screen

Ford DM’s goes to their spam folder. Just like what Andretti supposedly did with their bid for an F1 spot!
  8. Driving Tips - Manual Transmission

Situational awareness is the key if one wants to coast in neutral. Driver distractions have to be minimal of one wants to coast.
  9. Driving Tips - Manual Transmission

Coasting the clutch pedal depressed? Holy cow - that’s the worst ever thing one can do. I mean to roll no pedal depressed! Rolling with clutch pedal engaged - those pads are going to go bad with one the year!
  10. Driving Tips - Manual Transmission

On surface streets I just go into neutral when I anticipate a red and/or I got enough space to roll in neutral when I see a stop sign. Never had any issues with my other stick shifts with this driving style - but wonder if the pony is anything special?
  11. Driving Tips - Manual Transmission

Holding the clutch all the way? Will that not wear out the pads??
  12. Clear front side markers?

Hoping some EU folks notice this.. there are handful of them here / perhaps try the EU section maybe on these boards?
  13. Driving Tips - Manual Transmission

Nice won there. Thanks for sharing. The other trick on grapevine I’ve done in my ST is use engine braking all the way - minimal brake pedal decompress and instead downshift once i foresee a need to slow down a bit. I’m yet to take my pony to SoCal! Can’t wait for spring and some clear blue skies!
  14. Clear front side markers?

The EU version has clear side markers. I would doubt it’s actually illegal. Maybe try and get the EU spec part ?
  15. Pirelli tire observation

Gotcha.. understood.. wonder which one is superior.. the compound on the PS4S is better than the PS4’s atleast on my other ride(focus ST)
  16. Driving Tips - Manual Transmission

^^ good points there! Thanks for your insight! I will continue to enjoy my ride and gear shifts! Imma turn that auto rev match off !
  17. Driving Tips - Manual Transmission

In gear with no throttle depress modern cars do turn off injectors after some rpm hang. But in neutral - I’m not really sure whether it affects motor or tranny in any shape or form.
  18. Driving Tips - Manual Transmission

It wasn’t specific to Auto or Manual. It is just under driving tips. Your driving style is similar to mine. That’s exactly what I do - obv im careful about it and ready to get into the desired gear incase road conditions do change all of a sudden.
  19. Driving Tips - Manual Transmission

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. ! Interesting that each of us have different styles while driving a stick. I am always hesitant to depress clutch and brake together if I anticipate stopping early. Good call on keeping the gears lubricanted. Will see how I can tweak my driving style!
