Ocala is OK. Not my choice. My wife is originally from Central Florida and wanted to move back from where we were before - Prescott, AZ. I really miss that place. No fires, no hurricanes, very little crime, great hiking opportunities. LOW Insurance!

One of the reasons I picked Ocala. I have lived about 30 miles north of Pensacola for a number of years and got hit a few times (Ivan & Dennis). My rates didn't go up much. not much damage either.

Thanks for the feedback. I have become a bit disappointed with USAA for several reasons as they seem to be moving away from their original roots of insurance and banking. Their interest rates stink and their insurance rates keep going up despite my no claims record.

I found another thread on insurance "S650 Insurance". Several people listed two companies, Grundy and Haggerty. They seem to be insurers for classic and collectible cars. What about new cars?

Ouch! I guess I'll have to wait until my VIN is released before I can get a quote from anyone! I called USAA shortly after I ordered my GT and described the car. With my current coverages on the new Mustang, the rate wasn't much higher than what I'm paying for the WRX, but close to yours.

Despite the fact that my order was placed 12/6/23 and is currently scheduled for build the week of 4/1/24, they must be moving Mustangs fairly well. However, I hope you are correct.

I have been with USAA insurance and banking for over 45 years. Over the past few years, their insurance rates have continued to rise despite having zero claims from me. Before I take delivery of my new Mustang I want to research other companies writing policies in Florida. Recommendations?

Thanks for the details. That's exactly what I did before. However, this time I unfroze my credit before I called. They managed to pull my credit. Decision within the hour. However, I still don't know IF I'm locked it at that rate & term. My rating is 805 last checked.
