  1. Front inner wheel well issues

Thanks for the confirmation. I sent your video to my salesman. His response: "That's crazy. I wonder why they would leave that hole there. Good thing we live in Florida, no salt on the roads." The dealership has a monthly, "Customer Appreciation" event on a Saturday morning. I think I'll go...
  2. Front inner wheel well issues

After reading & watching your video, I contacted Ford directly thru this forum. They finally answered me today. Because I do not have my Mustang - yet, they won't address the problem. Here is their response: First message: "Hi there, thanks for sending us a message! My name is Rai and I am a...
  3. GT AVE in "Quiet" mode quieter than standard GT exhaust?

I do as well which is why I ordered the AVE. However, I need to keep the wife and neighbors happy
  4. Things are VERY Different now...

Interesting. My 2018 WRX (6-speed) was bought new. I swapped the standard exhaust out for a GrimmSpeed Catback exhaust. It has 31K miles on it. All I have had done to it was the usual maintenance, replace the battery (under warranty), and new tires. It still runs like a top.
  5. GT AVE in "Quiet" mode quieter than standard GT exhaust?

I've seen several YouTube videos showcasing the AVE thru all 4 modes, including "Quiet". I've also seen a few videos with the standard (2-tip) exhaust. They seem pretty loud as well. Hence my question. Is the AVE in "Quiet" mode quieter than the standard exhaust?
  6. Things are VERY Different now...

You apparently don't get the picture. I will be 77 in March. As you wrote, a car lasting 10 years would be pretty good. I probably won't be driving when I'm 87.
  7. Things are VERY Different now...

Nope. Mostly base, 10spd. They have more now. In fact they have one with ALL my requests except for exterior color and seat color. My wife said "absolutely NO" on the red seats.
  8. Slight thunk when shifting 6sp into 1st

I agree with this explanation. Both are possible. My method from the "old days" was (and still is), to depress the clutch, shift into 2nd and then 1st. Then let out the clutch.
  9. Things are VERY Different now...

    Nice! Why?
  10. Anyone else struggled deciding between EcoBoost and GT for daily driver?

I've been retired for about 12 years and currently own a 2018 Subaru WRX (270 HP, 6-speed). It's a fun car and also practical. Problem is when we moved from Arizona to Florida 3 years ago, the closest Subaru dealer is pathetic and the next closest dealer is over 45 minutes away. At my age, I...
  11. Dark horse handling and appearance package

You have a lot more patience than I do! As you can see in my signature, I have ordered a GT with similar options. Unless it's the special tires on the DH, I am thinking the options are very similar between the DH & GT. I wonder if I'm going to get a similar notice.
  12. Smoke from engine after long drive

Thanks for update. Any idea the quantity of oil lost? Did they clean up the underbody covers?
  13. Things are VERY Different now...

Your inflation figures are way off. $1.00 from 1966 would be worth $9.47 today. That would bring the cost of my 1966 V8 Mustang (200 HP) up to $23,675.00. That is a far cry from the expected ~$59,480.00 for the Mustang (486 HP) I have ordered. Granted, there are a LOT more features and tech...
  14. Things are VERY Different now...

OK. Any particular brand? I have had no luck looking for a direct replacement.
  15. Things are VERY Different now...

What is a good replacement for the Ford AGM battery?
  16. Things are VERY Different now...

Thanks for the confirmation on the battery issue.
  17. Things are VERY Different now...

The 1966 Mustang lasted me about 5 years. No problems. I had to sell it and get a “family” car. Big mistake.
  18. Amber DRL via forscan?

From my reading, DRLs are supposed to be white to increase visibility of your car.
