Yeah it’s ok- I’m not too mad- none of this has been the dealer’s fault… they are stuck with a car they can’t sell, and are trying to do what they can to get me into one. I should have put the order in Aug 12th, I waited to tell them definitively until the week before last. This whole thing sucks!

No- that’s not what was said. the recall affects all those vehicles- the stop sale occurred in early August- so any of the vehicles NOT YET SOLD have been put on a stop sale. Plenty were sold prior to the stop sale being announced in early August.

That’s the cardinal rule of dynos. gotta stay with the same dyno for all subsequent runs.

That’s the game that manufacturers play. Back in 2002 I had a “310 hp” Z-28 that everyone knew had the same damn engine as the Corvette rated at 350HP. They were putting down about 310 to the wheels, just like the vettes 🤣. So my car must have had a 0% drivetrain loss. 🤦

I just see a lot in the low low 400’s, some even I saw were high 300’s - but that might be tuners doing funny things to show higher gains on their tunes. as soon as I can take delivery of mine, it will be one of the first things I do - dyno a baseline.

I would say the dyno says otherwise. The 2024 WRX is rated at 271 HP. It put down 255 at the wheels when it still had temp tags on it. That’s a 6% drivetrain loss based on what the manufacturer rates it at. I’m not claiming that it is an actual 6% loss… I’m not sure how we would know. My...

That would make more sense to me. 70-80 WHP matches what I’ve seen on other platforms when fueled properly at around E50-E55… above that the gains diminish and you don’t really gain anything. and yes, the gas mileage sucks haha. on E40 blend in my WRX I averaged about 15-16 MPG 🤣

Yes- most new cars can run both. They already run Ethenol blend in almost every car - it’s just E10ish usually.

That’s so sad to me- E85 only giving 30 HP. Coming from a ‘24 WRX- E85 tune over stock with the Flex Fuel Kit gives 70-80 HP sometimes more - and that’s at the wheels- over the 93 octane fuel. turbo so of course there is that; but still… surprised that’s all it nets.
