I'm with you. A muscle car to me is an SS Chevelle, SS Nova, GTO, Charger, Challenger, Roadrunner, SuperBee, etc. etc. I would never consider a big, long, 60's or early 70's family car with a huge engine a muscle car.

I'm not being critical of you. Just seems odd to me that Ford recommends it.

Maybe I'm old and stubborn, but it just doesn't seem right running 87 octane in a high performance motor. 🙃

I never drove my Z06's in the rain, so the only time it was an issue was when I washed them. I wasn't worried about water damage, it was just a pain in the butt to wipe down the engine compartment after washing it.

I'm thinking about taking mine off. It makes checking the oil a pain in the butt. Not sure how much difference the brace makes in every day driving.
