    I believe it's because the cars built early on have the alleged trunk defect. Instead of fixing them, Ford is shipping out the newly built ones to boost Q3 numbers.

    Check for your window sticker. The blend date should tell you when it'll be built.

    I think it's going by rail first to a hub on the East Coast and then being put on a truck to my dealer. Same thing happened to my Tesla.
