Convoy means it transported by both train and truck...which is the case. Truck to the beginning rail destination. Train ride to final rail destination. Then truck ride from final rail destination to dealer. So cars going this method have many potential holdups along the way.
Anyone's car beside mine been stuck at New Boston? Mine has been there 3 weeks and does not appear moving anytime soon. Kinda disgusting since the car left the factory 6-26 and has been shuffled around various places since. Online ETA jumps back and forth too. It went from an Oct ETA to this...
Yes my ETA is now October 1st. I don't have anticipation it will show up before then or sometime after that date. Ford should allow approved 3rd parties to come in and transport them. My dealer could send a rollback and get it in day if they were allowed...but sadly they are not.
New Boston is a rail yard. Any car there is likely waiting on a train ride. My car is there as well and it is shipped via convoy. That means its riding truck and train to get to the dealer.
Congrats and awesome for you! For me and unto Ford...you gotta be joking kidding me! Goes to show Ford does not respect the loyalist who jumped right in and ordered in March!
Precision Vehicle Logistics has moved the car by truck from ramp 59 to New Boston...but there is no train info yet. What's bad, if you look up reviews on Precision Vehicle Logistics, there is not much good said about them...so I can only imagine there is lack of care in car handling so far...
