  1. Recall: Windshield Wipers (Recall No. 26V418000 -- 6/29/26). 67k units affected

My dealer explicitly blocks me from taking it in for the recall, as parts are not available until March. Even if they didn't stop me, I wouldn't take it in until they could fix it within a few days' time.
  2. Recall: Windshield Wipers (Recall No. 26V418000 -- 6/29/26). 67k units affected

I'm one of the recalled. I figured this would happen. My jets have been weak since I bought my Mustang.
  3. $1000 Off 2024-2026 5.0L GT and Dark Horse Supercharger Kit through 7/31/26 on Ford.com

Don't. If she won't see the charge, tell her it's a DIY recall kit. I'll never understand why wives need justification on things that don't affect them but are a net positive for their husbands. If all the finances are still in order afterward, who TF cares...?
  4. Is Ford Cancelling or Refreshing the 2027 Mustang?!

One look at automotive spy news in recent months and a little bit of math would answer this question. A certain camouflaged, production-ready presenting convertible has shown up a number of times and yet there's been no announcement. That's enough to tell me that specific car is probably a...
  5. Any truth to this 2027 BOSS rumor?

All Ford has to do is create an entry point for the younger folk to find their way into one. If you've been in the Metro Detroit area you'd understand what I mean. Plenty of young folk driving around in brand new M Competition cars, whether it's the 2, 3, 4, or 5. Also, it's not hard for young...
  6. Confirmed! Adding OEM Active Exhaust to S650 (DIY how-to writeup)

Can you link the part? I'd like to do this for my Mustang at some point in the future, and if I can avoid having to spend $500 on a new valence or even $100-ish on Marketplace, that'd be great.
  7. Anyone had this happen to their front bumper vent?

Gotcha, thanks. This morning I was able to sort of pull it back into place, but I guess if this ends up not being a permanent solution I'll have to do that.
  8. Anyone had this happen to their front bumper vent?

Hate to bump an old thread, but this seems to have happened to me a few weeks ago and I only recently noticed it. Anybody have any suggestions that don't involve having to take the wheel or bumper off?
  9. Adding Active Valve Exhaust to a non-AE

Bumping thread, did this work? I'm thinking of buying an exhaust system for my GT and would like to have a quiet mode so I don't anger my neighbors.
  10. 6 speed.. Accidentally shifting into reverse

Uh, that's definitely NOT supposed to happen. Immediately get that checked out. Of all the 6 speeds I've driven, including my own, this is something I've never ever experienced. You have a defective shifter.
  11. Summertime tire pressures - what counts as "cold" for setting tire pressure

I've been running my car in track mode more often (after learning traction control is in fact not fully disabled in track mode) and it has the tire pressures as the default screen in the cluster. I deflated my tires to be about 32-35 PSI when they're warm for more contact with the road, and...
  12. Anyone elses dark horse not spin tires

If you want to spin the tires, turn off traction control completely. Not track mode level, press the button and turn it off entirely. You'll spin the tires.
  13. BUYER BEWARE - CarSmarti's or Public Safety Crime Center - Solicitation for Tracking Stolen Car Service....

Your insurance company sold your data. I've been getting warranty expiration mail about varying years of Ford Mustangs that I supposedly owned since 2019, the first time I ever got an insurance quote on one. I got my Mustang last year, so that tells you all you need to know. Unless it's...
  14. 1 of 1

Well since we're on the topic of rarity I'll chime in - I have a 2025 with silver headlights. No way, right? 🤯🤯🤯
  15. 2026 Dark Horse SC Order Status - Share Yours

Did you replace everything after "vin=" with your actual VIN? Specifically for the 2026 DHSC, it should look something like: http://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=1FA6P8GJxT555xxxx ...where the Xs represent numbers correlating to your VIN.
  16. No turn signal galloping sound?

If your rear taillights have a dedicated amber/orange indicator, you don't have the sequential indicators, you have the sweeping ones.
  17. No turn signal galloping sound?

European Mustangs get the normal on/off tick. Your car doesn't have the 3 stage sequential indicators like the American and Asian (IIRC) counterparts have.
  18. My Car Feels Slow...

There are a few things to note here, primarily that the Camaro has a Tremec and that it has a 3.73 diff. Having driven the 3.55 6 speed multiple times and having a 3.73 in my garage, I can say there is a noticeable difference in how the car responds. I can't say if it'll match the Camaro though...
  19. "Park brake not applied" message on dash

Mine doesn't go away if I open the door, the message will remain there for about a minute and then just assume I want to keep it on. The parking brake message, in my experience, will keep blinking until you reset the park brake yourself.
  20. "Park brake not applied" message on dash

Mine does this if I pull the handbrake too quickly before coming to a complete stop or if I open the door before it fully engages. I think the computer briefly loses track of the present state of the brake and panics. Since it's likely unsure whether it's engaged or not, it assumes it's not and...
