I'm curious if pretty much everyone's 24 GT 5.0 consumes oil and if so how much over what mileage interval? It sounds like the 5.0 normally does consume some oil but I'm wondering if that's still the case with the 24MY? I have a 24 GT on order and I don't think I've ever owned a car that has...
So it looks like your 2020 Mustang was an Ecoboost per your signature? So your EB used oil as well? I don't think I've ever owned a car that used oil especially not a brand new car but I guess that's the nature of the beast (Coyote)? I sure hope I'm not buying a bunch of issues when I purchase...
Thanks for the reply on the tape. I'm probably over thinking this but I assume you literally just taped over the holes and made it look as 'pretty' as possible? I assume you didn't need to remove the wheels or anything to tape it? Do you happen to have any pics of the finished product?
I'm...
Wow that is really curious. So I take it your still on your original oil? My GT is scheduled to be built at the end of March so I'll be interested to see what other's have to say regarding this issue.
Also have you noticed your GT using any oil at all? I know I've read posts online that the...
I know some of you used tape to cover these holes (at least temporarily). I'm curious how that tape is holding up and what brand and type of tape you used? I have a GT on order that's supposed to get built at the end of March and I'm honestly thinking I'm going to bring some tape with me to the...
Thanks for the info on the Husky mats. Are yours in really good shape? Just asking as I guess they would be 5 years old or so if you used them in your 2019. Also any reason they wouldn't fit in a 24?
We were actually just out your way a few weeks ago . Stopped by the Ford dealer in Howell and...
Just wondering hot the 3D Spider Mats are working out for you? Looks like your from Canada so curious how they held up over a Canadian winter? Do they get slippery when they get wet? I'm in the market for mats and am looking at the spider one's you have and also these Husky liners...
So are you still liking your Husky mats? Are they pretty slipper when they get wet? I don't think they are rubber so just curious if they get slippery when wet (Bon Jovi anyone, lol). Also do they go up the sides quite a ways to protect water from escaping from the mat and soaking the carpet...
Just seeing your post about the 5.0 using a bit of oil. I have a GT on order and it'll be my first Mustang and first ownership experience with a 5.0 engine. So does these 5.0 always use oil over their lifespan or does it get less and less (or maybe even worse) over time?
Curious if the owners...
Also Ford is doing 1.9% for 36 months as well. I think these rates are good through April 2nd and then will be extended or changed (hopefully lowered). Come on Ford give us 0% on the Mustang:)
Any comments on the GT vs EB? Just curious what you think of the EB compared to your GT? My GT just got scheduled today and I had recently changed the order from an EB to a GT. I hope I made the right decision:)
I just got scheduled today but you guys are making me nervous talking about all these 'normal' Mustang noises, lol. Good think I got the active exhaust and upgraded radio:)
Congrats on getting scheduled. I too got scheduled today. My order was placed on January 29th but my build is pretty simple. I noticed the tracker you posted says your build week is March 25th. What did you email from Ford say? My email from Ford says my build week is April 1st but my tracker...
Did you drive both 3.15's and 3.55's and then decide to change your order? I'm leaning towards switching my order to 3.55's but hopefully I can test one out of Monday to compare before making my final decision.
The results seem pretty obvious that over 9 out of 10 Mustang drivers prefer 3.55's...
You seem to be the odd man out in that most of the replies I've gotten have said you can tell the difference with the 3.15's and the 3.55's especially if driven back to back. I'm not saying your wrong or the others are right as maybe you both are, lol. By that I mean everyone perceives things...
Wow so there's really that much of a difference with the 10A? Is there any sort of jerkiness at low speeds with the 3.55's? Just normal non spirited driving and pulling away from a stop light for instance would to shifts, etc be buttery smooth with a 10A with 3.55's?
Curious if you have any experience with 3.55's? Did you test drive a 3.55 24 GT before deciding on your 3.15? Honestly I'm still on the fence about what to do. I think I need to track down a 24 with 3.55's and compare it to one with 3.15's.
