This is off topic, but I didn’t realize the GT has a trans temp gauge. Does it have a diff temp gauge as well? Obviously it doesn’t have the coolers that the DH has, but that’s cool if it still has the gauges. My 2015 GT didn’t have trans or diff temp (that I recall, anyway).
The interior is a nice upgrade over the outgoing car, but I'm not fond of the overall look and size. The car is ludicrously heavy, and it looks like it's about 250 feet long. The wheel gap has that vintage New Edge Mustang look though, if you're in to that 4x4 style.
As an electric car, there...
Without the ability to tune for the intake, I don’t have any interest in one. While some look nice, I’ve never really cared enough to buy just for looks, and the difference in sound is negligible to me. I’d rather hear the exhaust anyway.
I’m more interesting in seeing how well the wrap is applied. If it’s anything like how they do vinyl stripes and graphics, there’s going to be a half an inch of uncovered gloss paint at the edge of every panel…
Yeah, I’d like to know what was done to get down to that weight. OP mentions drag brakes, a carbon driveshaft, removing the rear seat, and a lighter battery, but I imagine there has to be more.
I would love to see competition orange or something similar to that shade of bright orange. Bonus points if they decide to go metallic as well. I think a competition orange GT with the NPP would look great! Add in grabber blue Brembos and I’m sold! Let’s do it, Ford!
I agree that the car is too heavy, but with the platform being the same, I didn’t really expect any weight loss. What I don’t understand is how the car weighs so much more than a Mach 1 when it’s essentially the same car. If you go by Car and Driver’s weight measurements, the DH weighs anywhere...
I would tend to agree, however, for those that actually do track the cars, the added coolers are nice to have. Not that you can't track a GT, of course (I tracked my 2015 mutiple times).
The GT350 was a significant step up from the GT of the time, but when it got replaced by the Mach 1 and...
I read that link about auto stop/start on the manual Focus because I've never had a manual that had it before, and honestly, if it is implemented in the same way, it doesn't sound too bad. It says the car has to be in neutral, so if you leave it in gear, it sounds like you're good to go. Even...
I'd like to pick up a 24 and I like the idea of the Tremec and coolers on the DH, but I'm not a fan of the racoon eyes. I'd like to see some pictures of what a black DH would look like with that part painted gloss black, but still retaining the part lines there so that it looks realistic. Any...
I had one on my 2015 and loved it. I asked Ford Performance, and they just told me it's just 2015-2020 (which is what the website says), but as far as I know, nothing changed underneath the car in 2021-2023, so I think the website is just outdated in that regard. I can't see why it wouldn't...
I know exactly how you feel! I miss my 2015, but I think I'll be happy with a 24--plus I get to go through the fun of modifying another car--and hopefully I'll learn from the last time and avoid a couple things, like cams for instance.
