  1. So this just happened ☹️

I would take it to a paint-less dent repair shop first to see if that can solve the hood. The windshield should be replaced if bad enough.
  2. Water leaking into Trunk

Tell the dealership someone there needs to get into the trunk. Close the lid, run water over certain body areas one at a time to find the source of the leak. I learned that from a former Honda and other makes mechanic.
  3. Rain Sensing Wipers

On a 6 speed the engine module revs the engine RPM automatically to match downshifts. In theory it’s a great idea to reduce clutch wear while enhancing driving smoothness. The problem is that sometimes I paused between shifts to make some kind of decision about what I want to do, then the rev is...
  4. Rain Sensing Wipers

I turned mine off because it operates erratically. Automatic Hi-Beams yes, RSW’s no, Adaptive Cruise control yes, Lane Assistance no, Hill Hold yes, Rev Matching no.
  5. Big/tall tires?

You get slower to go faster.
  6. Big/tall tires?

No, go slower to a higher, not faster, top end speed. I'll confuse semantics by saying a 33 1/3 RPM record is it's rate, not speed.
  7. Big/tall tires?

One inch is huge. Top end is higher because you're effectively changing (higher) the rear axle ratio maybe 4%. In my case the ratio went from 4.10 to estimating 3.9. Acceleration is slower with a higher rear axle. BTW, top end was 116 MPH.
  8. Big/tall tires?

A lot of opinions here...I'm against taller tires. It's makes your car slower, and while speed isn't everything, it cost me bragging rights back in the 1970's. I switched my 1971 Z28 E60-15 bias for G70-15 radials. I really didn't know any better. This, and revving past the sweet spot...
  9. Tall gearing on MT82

I thought its gear ratios short, especially compared to my 2000 Corvette. That had a Tremec with much taller gears, but the GT has a 7000 or so redline. That makes sense for the Getrag first gear at 3.237 vs the 2000 C5‘s 2.66. Plus the GT rear end starts at 3.55.
  10. Selling my 2025 DH and the market is in the tank

I’ve been in this position twice in the last 10 years. It might work if you trade if the taxes in your State work out. The first time I wanted to sell my 6 month old, dodge charger scat pack. I wound up waiting till the end of the model year and traded it on a heavily discounted challenger. RT...
  11. New Wheels!!!! Want Your Opinion

Silver. Black is a PITA to clean and keep clean.
  12. Who’s giving up the 6sp for the SC?

I concluded that a car's personality is even more important than performance, and style. I love the 6 speed GT. I loved C3 Corvettes, 3rd Gen Firebirds, 6th and 3rd generation Chargers and Challengers. It took a lot of money and mistakes to figure this out.
  13. Bad Curb Rash

Ford calls this polished aluminum, but it’s painted and cleared. not sure if I answered. Ford calls these polished aluminum. But they’re not polished aluminum in the sense than I know. These wheels are definitely painted and cleared.
  14. Bad Curb Rash

That's a lot of damage. I'm guessing these are painted and cleared. That's an issue. You can try yourself by finding the correct wheel paints, then filing, sanding, sanding finer until you have a good surface. If you're particular, get it done professionally or you'll never be satisfied.
  15. Steeda Vertical Link Brembo Option

Do you need 19 inch wheels and above for 6 piston Brembo's ? 19" will work, but not sure about 18. Try a "Build and Price" and see if you can option Brembo's on an EcoBoost car.
  16. Steeda Vertical Link with Brembo

Will Steeda rear vertical links on a Brembo optioned S650 make any noticeable difference? Steeda posted a video on this forum last week illustrating 8 modifications which don't require shop installation. It inspired me to R&R the rear vertical links on my 2025 GT Premium* with Brembo brake...

  18. Three months experience with my "hated" S650

The only thing I wish is for the instrumentation to look more 3D. Having owned a 2020 Corvette, I can say Mustang got a lot more things right than Chevrolet did. Oh, the C8 interior materials were first class, but instrumentation, especially Speedo choices, is one round dial. The other screen...
  19. FORD: One of the worst

I must agree to some extent that Ford cuts corners with its interior. Their “Premium“ seats are upscale vinyl, upscale, but still vinyl. And it isn’t to save money so much as saving an animal. The tilt-tele steering wheel is manual. Mopar has power tilt-tele. Ford’s sound systems are...
  20. Removal of OEM manual shift knob

That's funny because I removed my GT original in favor of the Dark Horse Titanium shift knob. I used plenty of points to get it down to $100.
