That makes me wonder how it much it costs them to do updates to Sync. Maybe that is part of the problem. Is there a lot of crappy spaghetti code that breaks other modules when they make a change? That could explain why the updates are few and far between and why they rarely address simple things...
I keep my cars for waaay too long to really worry about depreciation. But this is good info as one day I may be in the market for a used DH if the new special edition Mustang is auto only or if the refresh doesn’t impress

Not trying to sway you back to Whipple, but you can now keep the STB with a Whipple. VMP sells a STB that clears it under the stock hood for about $399
Whoever runs Ford’s infotainment/digital dash department is terrible at configuration management and updates. While the OP’s question is reasonable no one should be holding their breathe for change.
