What sensor? It's a body control module not a sensor.
I have not had issues. But it may not be visible. Corrosion happens over time, not in a singular event.
Ugh. I'm not going to drop my car off so it can sit on the lot for a few days before you get around to fixing it. It's a one day job Ford. Let us make an appointment.
It's an A10 thing. The S650s aren't programed from the factory to show the gear number on the cluster unless you use the paddles. But you can use FORScan to enable it so it does. 👍🏻
Far as I know the only aluminum piece in the body is the hood. So you could do way more than just the doors.
That said, the expense of aluminum materials would just increase the cost of the car and everyone to bitch about that too.
Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean the job shouldn't be clean and professional. We paid good money for these cars. I expect the "fix" to have a higher standard of quality than what a 5-year and a caulking gun can do. 😉
There's always a few A-holes on every forum. But I think you'll find it's generally limited to a few individuals rather than the entire group here. At least the mods stepped in and deleted some of the vitriol.
Glad you chose to stick around. Let us know how the SC install goes. 👍🏻
It's a good point. Plenty of cars are utilizing hybrid technology soley to boost performance, not for fuel economy.
A hybrid Mustang would probably perform better than the Ecoboost, and that doesnt bother me at all. Just as long in as they keep the V8.
I'd be much more comfortable if they didn't have to pry up the windshield.
Also, what if they do the procedure and discover the BCM has corrosion at the end? They probably can't give the car back to you. I would absolutely lose my shit if they pulled that.
Why not check the BCM first???
