  1. My Adventures in Upgrading the Subwoofer and Center Speaker

My online research showed that if a speaker is disproportionately too high of a wattage capability compared to an amp with much lower output, the result is an underpowered speaker that doesn’t perform well and if the amp is turned up too much it results in clipping. I have read that the sweet...
  2. How many miles did yours come with?

Mine had 4 miles. Directly off the trailer. Was just sitting in the lot, I took it for a test drive and found nothing worked on the infotainment center. Salesman had forgot to take it off delivery mode. Drove it back in…He did some button pushing and brake pedal sequencing and peeled the...
  3. Best oil and oil filter for Mustang GT Premium 2024

My dealer offers a tech to come to the house at no extra charge. They offer oil changes, tire rotation, even software updates right in my driveway. I’m going to try it not only for convenience, I can see exactly what goes in the car.
  4. Best oil and oil filter for Mustang GT Premium 2024

Glad I provide so much amusement for you. A $9 drain plug is not the same as 4 new tires. OK…..I looked in the manual and can’t verify what I have read elsewhere. I google the question and get this answer with sources. (See below) Now maybe the sources are actually referring to when the oil...
  5. Best oil and oil filter for Mustang GT Premium 2024

There was a time when oil was to be changed every 3 months! I’m going back at least 40 years ago. Synthetic wasn’t a thing yet, and the big breakthrough was Arco Graphite (who remembers that?). it was black becuase of the graphite and the particles were so fine it leaked out of every engine...
  6. Best oil and oil filter for Mustang GT Premium 2024

For a new car under warranty, Or actually any of my cars, I don’t deviate from the recommended oil weight. And I think I’ve made up my mind to stick with Motorcraft For this car. Even though their filters are paper and reportedly 85% filtration compared to Mobil 1 synthetic pleat 99%...
  7. Best oil and oil filter for Mustang GT Premium 2024

OK, I went down the oil/filter rabbit hole. I encourage you guys here to please correct or verify the following things I have read online. The problem with online info is that it’s hard to truly verify. So opinions are welcome! 1) EDIT: I have read in other FORUMS, AND GOOGLE SEARCHES, that...
  8. Vanity License Plates

I never seriously looked into plates…I think 7 characters is max. I always remember the story I read in the news someone was rejected the plate HOOKER. Turns out it was a priest and it was just his nickname. There was one plate that looked clean until seen in rear view mirror. Can’t remember...

  13. What Did You Drive Before?

I don’t have pictures of them all, I’m 61 and it’s a bit of a long list. Based on what I could afford at the time and sometimes craving luxury like the 300M, but then missed exciting cars. I started driving in 1982, so even though my first car was only 8 years old, it was a heap. Cars have...
  14. We’ve owned 3 GT’s now, and really TRIED to go with the EcoBoost on the last one….

A 1970 Boss 429 was rated 375 hp, but many believe that was conservative, and many muscle cars at that time were rated conservatively to beat high insurance rates. Some say it was closer to 500 hp, but then you have to play the net/gross…. At the flywheel/at the wheel game….so who knows? But...
  15. We’ve owned 3 GT’s now, and really TRIED to go with the EcoBoost on the last one….

I get it….Once you drive a V8 it’s hard to go back. I drove a Plymouth Prowler for 6 years, and as insanely cool as that car was, I got tired of the V6. I really missed the sound and thrust of a V8. Then got an 06 Mustang GT used in 07, and drove that all the way up to last month. I really...
  16. What's your go-to post wash wax?

Maybe I’ll try some of the ceramic stuff, but it always came across as gimmicky. Of course I can be wrong, I often am, but just saying why I have stayed with wax.
  17. Bad air design spoiler?

IMO, the 3M tape does all the heavy holding and the little bead of black silicone is nothing more than a water barrier to keep water from seeping into the 3M tape and weakening it.
  18. Getting Parts/Accessories directly from Ford.com

FWIW: It was 20% off last week, must have been a 4th of July sale. Back down to 15% off now. So if anyone wants parts or accessories, and can wait, check back around holidays.
  19. What's your go-to post wash wax?

I’m also a fan of Meguiars Quick Wax. If you want to up your Quick Wax Game get this…it’s definitely richer and doesn’t hardly cost much more. I love it...
  20. Bad air design spoiler?

Light sanding will change the texture. Get a replacement, especially since they are offering. That is not unreasonable at all. I guess I got lucky with my order, No sanding. There is a small gap if you look real close, but the gap is straight across, so it looks OK from just standing there...
