Didn't some source state already that the new Mustang will be built at FlatRock as it has always been? Besides, we’re looking at what 150.000 cars in total per year? It’s hard to imagine that they would spilt up such a relatively low number of cars and equip two plants with the necessary tools...
The point of the Voodoo was to make it sound like a Mustang and not like a Ferrari… If you want Ferrari sound go and buy one ;) The crank pins in the Voodoo crankshaft are in a different order (up down up down instead of up down down up). They are no longer perfectly balanced. Besides, they put...
So yesterday was the last day on which people could hand in name suggestions. When do we get the results or more importantly when will this nonsense be on sale?
MY23 S550 starting this fall?
I still hope that they will announce the name for the S650 black package or at least show a blacked out...
What will it take to save the V8?
A miracle in the EU… They just banned ICE cars entirely from 2035 onward. Maybe there is still a chance that the calculation is modified so that synthetic gasoline can be considered but I doubt it.
That’s it. What a bunch of …
There are more than a million...
What a shame... They pushed the car an entire year back... again...
S650 should've been a MY2020, then it was pushed back to 2022 as a MY2023 followed by even more push backs and now it's a MY2024 car that might or might not come out next year...
How on earth can the S650 be somewhat up to...
Similar but not the same. Just look at the thin black line underneath the rear lights. The twitter pic doesn’t have those. In addition, a few angles appear to be different especially where the trunk starts/end.
I could be wrong but why would Ford ask for another name if there won’t be another...
This is either one of the worst marketing campaigns in history or we are too dumb to realize that they are teasing the S650’s “black edition/stealth pack” whatever you want to call it. Besides, this rear looks different than this one...
They did take the S197 Boss as a benchmark for the S550 GT (PP) and it turned out well. If the S650 GT drives as good as the Mach 1 and has all the upsides of a refreshed car I would absolutely consider it. Especially as a convertible.
Besides, if the S650 gets a special edition straight away I would be happy but I doubt it. It'll take at least until christmas or 2024 before we get a Boss. In addition, I don't think it will be another Mach 1 or Bullit. We had those.
My guess: No Shelby 350 but a fully loaded hybrid Boss.
" While hybrid and even an all-electric variants remain possible for future years, the S650 will launch with the carryover Ford 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost and Ford 5.0L V8 Coyote..."
According to FA hybrids and other variants will not be available right at the beginning... I thought that at least...
I don’t know why there are so many people out there like you, denying reality. EVs have already made more progress than ICEs in the same amount of time and we are just at the beginning. No, not all problems will be solved within 5-10 years and EVs aren’t more environmental friendly than ICE per...
Yeah, that looks awful... Like a cartoonish Audi TT or a matchbox car... Those proportions are well off... This render doesn't do the possible S650 design a favor...
Anyhow, so far we haven't really heard from any features that require a new version... Something like AWD, driving dynamics or a...
The leaked image looked aweful but the same design in a well done render looks much better. It's already growing on me.
Could be a poster worthy car in real life :like:
Another factor might be the overall power output. If the S650 looks somewhat similar, has less power and Ford wants more money for it I don't see the car being a success.
The S550 was the first Mustang that did cost $50K but everyone saw the much better interior and driving dynamics. Haven't...
I do get your point but what competition are you talking about? Charger, Challenger or Camaro? These competitors will not be any different next year... Same goes for any European brands... I hardly doubt that M4/Rs5 are any real competition to begin with and the next C63 will be a four banger...
Well, according to FA the Coyote will be a "carryover" engine, meaning 450hp or 470 if it's based on the Mach 1. Honestly, I think that's very likely going to happen. The Coyote does not have that much left in it and around 500hp are somewhat what can be achieved without any superchargers...
Porsche would disagree as well as BMW (except the 4Series and the M3/4 front)...
Just look at the cybertruck or the M3/4... all with outstanding designs but they're all aweful. The 3series or the 911 992 look absolutely fantastic and will be loved in the future as well.
My point being is that...
