  1. Will using Simple Green on the Brembo calipers harm the brake pads?

The organic pads on my friends older mustang cover the rims with black dust. The oem pads on my 2024 Tt leave nothing on the rims/tires. A bit of road dust the odd time but no brake dust. Chage the pads.
  2. How long will they build the 2025 Dark Horse?

You have until at least mid- September if they follow past build-outs. But, yes I would ask the dealer for an allocation confirmation.
  3. Is it worth it?

IF you have the money, why not. Lots of people have that kind of cash.
  4. GT vs Z06

.....yeah sure. Friend has a C8. Will is beat my GT - of course, but then he drives a clown car that looks like s child's transformer toy only with $hitttier characteristics. Couldn't care less about it's (C8's) performance, it's still a clown car. Cheap copy of crap euro fluff. No matter what...
  5. Watch This Before Replacing The Windshield On A S650 Mustang GT !

@RCFMustang ...... great conversation starter. There is only one sane option for a Mustang windshield replacement that is OEM. The cheaper ones are junk. If you own a convertible (I do) then windshield selection is even more crucial. I replaced the windshield on my former 2014 Mustang...
  6. Oil Life at 0% After 300 Miles

@krisk ...... we changed oil on cars we rallied and raced and our racing marine engines after every race. Ford and GM oil count downs used to be based on time. If they are now considering other data points like RPMs, shift points and temperatures that would be awesome and actually reflect the...
  7. GT vs Z06

@MegaMan ......and the best part is, at the end of the day we get to drive off in a Mustang EB/GT/DH .....and the other guy is driving away in a corvette .....a knock-off wanna be euro car.
  8. An Interesting Find During An Oil Change

@HeyMoe! ..... Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. There are several interesting discussion points. The new "salting" of roads should be called "brining" of roads. The liquid brine they now spray stays on the roads (and subframes) longer. The "old" salt crystals were...
  9. New Mustang is Home

@Darkmatter .... agree 100% ..... CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! ..... a true beast! Now break it in and then go and embarrass some Euro fluff.
  10. S650 Tech Packages Suck: Prove Me Wrong

@Cauf E. Bean ..... on my 2024 GT with 'high" package I have adaptive cruise control and an awesome wireless connectivity, Android and Apple voice search. More than I need on a sports/muscle car. All that other stuff is on our SUV.
  11. Alternative fender hole cover

@AZ_Ryan ...... obviously you've never used JB Weld.
  12. Alternative fender hole cover

@AZ_Ryan .....actually the DIYvan.com repair IS waterproof ......and "dude" $100 to prevent frame damage on a Mustang GT is worth every penny.....still waiting to see the cost of the new Ford repair.
  13. Alternative fender hole cover

@Kaps ..... I agree 100% .....water WILL run down inside that patch if its not sealer and then run along the inside frame members. At least Ford has acknowledged the problem but the fix is IMO not nearly as good as DIYvan.com. $100 and 10 minutes a side. Inexpensive, fast and effective.......and...
  14. Alternative fender hole cover

@AZ_Ryan ....... wait for it - the price from Ford for the new kit. I would be very surprised if you get that for less than $100 .... and it's still a screw-on.
  15. K&N intake problem

The answer is simple. Stay away from aftermarket "toy" intakes. If you're supercharging or turbocharging that's a completely different story. Claims of significantly better "breathing" are IMO incorrect. Claims of HP increases are IMO total B$. Dyno pulls showed no difference. IMO you are far...
  16. Alternative fender hole cover

@bfets ..... your patch looks fine.....but there is absolutely no problem with the JB Weld. That product is super easy to use and will never let go. The material would let go some where else before the patch itself let go and the best part is that the DIYvan.com patch becomes part of the liner...
  17. Low fluid levels on Fords to save a few bucks?

@Gregs24 ..... yes underfilling at the factory "could" cost more money in warranty ..... but that's what dealer PDI is for. Checking fluids is high on the list.
  18. ritis

@Bill Dezen ..... no you cannot reduce the locking force as it would put the top and you at risk.....and if it ever came up at speed was caught by the wind and detached you'd have no insurance. Can she purchase some kind of wrist brace that will attach with velcro and be easy to get on and off...
  19. Transmission Fluid Change

@Iceman28.... good catch - and - you are 100% correct - I definitely did NOT have an 10R80 in my 2014. My comment was intended to say ...... IF IF IF the tranny dip sticks are the same then to be REAL careful as in my 2014 you had to remove the "plastic-like" cap/nut and it had a small dip...
  20. Questions about oil change

@burnhard88 ..... which dealership did you purchase it from in Ottawa?
