  1. Is stock 2024 air filters sufficient ?

@kinelisch ..... FWIW here's what I do. First, I have only driven my Mustangs from April to November. I inspect them once in a while to see how many insects and dust have accumulated. I have put a shop vac on them mid summer to get rid of bugs and dirt. So far, I have replaced engine air...
  2. Is stock 2024 air filters sufficient ?

@larietrope ..... I was told Wix made the air filters for Ford. If true that's a superb filter. No matter what you would be IMO waaaay better off to buy the Ford filters and change them more often than the much more expensive filters.
  3. Finally Built a Shop

@krisk ......"Now, we’ll see what happens when it’s 95 degrees with 100% humidity, which will happen in a few months"......... My prediction is that it will still be excellent as I am sure you know the insulation value of spray "foam:" to reject cold and heat is essentially the same. Having...
  4. Finally Built a Shop

@krisk......what color of green is profound envy? Hunter green? ......beautiful work, you'll never regret the spray foam insulation!
  5. Mustang 2024 and 2025 Model Years Still Available?

I can go on the Ford website and complete a build order for either a 2024 or a 2025 Mustang GT convertible. I thought that was weird. I did not actually progress to the point where I tried to actually order one - but I did drop into a Ford dealership and was told either model year was still...
  6. Next-Gen Chevy Camaro Effort ‘Blown Apart’ By Management, But Effort Not Fully Dead Yet: Exclusive

No loss to me, always hated the super ugly dash and the tinny sound of the exhausts from 2014 on ....now the "old" Camaros, well that's different. BTW if you compare Mustang and Camaro convertible trunk space the Mustang has about 30% more room.
  7. Screens—A love-hate relationship

After 10 months now love the screen. No problems with my 1000 song play list from my old ipod. Yes the screen up-dates but so do my phones, tablets, notebooks and computer towers - as they have been for years and they cause glitches too. Really pi$$ed with your mustang screen - what will your...
  8. Rear main seal- oil found near it

@highvoltage ....yes, it could be a an oil pan gasket but I wonder why it wouldn't have leaked sooner. To test you can wipe the area dry then drive it a bit. I would also look from above, maybe with a trouble light. Could some oil have been spilled during an oil change that ran down the block...
  9. A knock noise when starting the engine

@Gregs24 ..... re-listened to the video at louder volume. You're right, that's not piston slap. I don't know why it's happening "almost" every time and not every time. It could be a low fluid level or air in a system that's making the noise erratic but that's just guessing on my part - I'd take...
  10. A knock noise when starting the engine

@S650 lover ..... The sound you hear may be mild piston slap. This can occur for for up to 20 minutes with the 2024 GT engine. Mine does this and will do so for about 20 minutes - even when it is at normal operating temperature. It will go away after that. My friends/family and I used to build...
  11. This happened this morning

@24BlueStang ..... feel very badly for you BUT my friend's car was hit by a neighbour and his own insurance (who he called for advice) said take pictures of the damage so you can show a potential purchaser in the future that it was very light (almost cosmetic) and not a big hit on a corner that...
  12. Ford doubles down on EV future

Quotre from @Q6543 " ....very little money, if any will go to future ICE development." ..... Really? .....and just this week three Scandinavian countries told EV owners to not plug their crappy little EVs into the electrical grid as electrical grids couldn't handle them AND today at the Munich...
  13. GTD Weight Revealed

Doesn't bother me at all. It's only about 300 pounds heavier than my 2024 GT convertible which handles awesome and goes like stink with just 480HP. The GTD has a lot of heavier racing components on it. Unless you want to spent waaay north of 500K it costs huge money to create speed, performance...
  14. How much I paid

@bimmerborn ..... AWESOME. I have its sister only she's a convertible. Vapor blue, 301A package, auto trans (with paddles) upgraded rims, B&O stereo upgrade with trunk sub. Got all options off the sticker price plus a Ford $2,000.00 discount. Probably got the deals as I bought the car in March...
  15. 2024 Mustang GT PP, had it for 6 days…

@Exodrai ..... first thank God you/family/others weren't injured. The pictures gave me a knot in my stomach. I feel real bad for you but at least you are alive to drive Mustangs! Second, although some body shops can do amazing repairs, I'd want it written-off. I can't believe it will ever track...
  16. Posssible Damage to Summer Tires by Very Cold Temperatures

@roadpilot and @CWizard ...... dealerships where I live store summer tires on rims in shipping containers "outside" for customers who have their winter tires on rims then store the winter tires on rims over the summer in the same shipping containers. It often gets to -20 and -40 is not unusual...
  17. Base Dark Horse vs GT PP W/ MagRide.

@caddison524 ..... you got a ton of great advice from forum members on your question IMO. This sure is a great place to be.
  18. Posssible Damage to Summer Tires by Very Cold Temperatures

@CWizard ..... I lived in an area that routinely went to -15F and sometimes to -40F. Straight summer tires get noticeably harder at -15F or lower, which significantly lengthened their stopping distance but the cold never "damaged" anyone's "summer:" tires. All seasons had better stopping times...
  19. Ford doubles down on EV future

@Q6543 ..... thank you for providing that information. I needed a lift on this snowy day and had the best laugh in a week. I met a Mustang owner who bought a 2024 Ford 150 Lightening. He said it was the worst pos he had ever owned and the worst vehicle mistake he had ever made for too many...
  20. Engine air filter possible issue? High flow air filters

@MustangNoob ..... agree that any separation of metal parts would be really worrisome. What I have heard is structural failures where the aftermarket filters seemed to get clogged (maybe owners left them in too long because of advertising) then partially collapse letting contaminants past the...
