AFE dry filter have an excellent rep; here and elsewhere). I'm using Think Auto dry filters which also filter and flow better than OEM. Very satisfied so far!

You might consider consulting with your dealer's service department. They may have already pulled one or two, and be able to provide some insight. Good luck!
Keep in mind that if something does go wrong and your dealer or Ford tells you to "have a nice day", and you decide to litigate the issue............................it comes down to repair cost vs lawyer cost.
