Those are pretty decent tires! I had these on my supercharged S550 except I had like 305/35R19 for my rears.
Be mindful of wet weather (no, really!)
I was able to get about 15000km out of them on the street before I started to think of replacing them.
I agree with both the gentlemen above.
Cautionary tale of a young man with, what was then, a fairly high horsepower car.
I had a 100 shot in a 1980 Z28 Camaro (4 speed) that had a 355 in it. Racing a Monte Carlo on Mothers Day about 300 years ago (seems that way) the motor let go on the QEW...
Until you try and climb out of one. I was shopping for a vette before I bought my DH. I'm only 50 and felt like I needed a walker climbing out of a C8.
Don't tell me that! Lie to me!!!
I'm about to take the car on a week long 2000km trip in July from Ontario down to WVA then over to NC and into TN for the Tail of the Dragon.
Did I mention that the Supercharger goes on next month?
I just received a notice in the mail that they have a software update available; at least here in Canada.
Have this scheduled for April when the Whipple goes in. Also going to get them to check the transmission fluid and top it as required.
It will be a little louder, especially on cold starts.
I did a resonator delete and went with a Steeda H pipe. It's right on the line for me. Not sure I could handle Headers and an H Pipe and still enjoy it.
I don't know what it is about these renders but they trigger the thought that Ford and Mercedes got Audi drunk on Prom Night and right now we are sorting out who the father is.
I had heard rumblings about this back last year when I bought my DH. Nice to see it actually in print and that, as of this particular post, may be a "real" thing. "On any given Sunday", you know?
That being said; with the trajectory of niche automobile prices, vs wage increases (at least in...
I'm very tempted to reverse engineer this and make it white.
With websites like LEGO Inventory for 76920-1: Ford Mustang Dark Horse | Brickset and then BrickLink Reference Catalog I could probably get all the parts into an Excel spreadsheet and find out what is needed.
Have I told all ya'll to get stuffed yet today?
While I do hear the snow and ice starting to melt a little in the eavestrough there is still a ton of snow, salt and road grime up here North of the Wall.
I think you were the gentleman on the DH Owners group on FB who gave me a thumbs up for Freyja :) Pretty sure that avatar pic is the one you posted!
Having had a 21 GT (with AVE and supercharged) and now a 24 DH (also with AVE and also soon to be supercharged) I can tell you that cold starts...
One of us, one of us!!!
I also sold my 21 GT Premium (Roush Supercharged) which was an A10 for the Dark Horse with the 6 speed! You gonna love that h-pipe sound. I have a fair bit of steeda gear and a Whipple being installed in April. Welcome to the Light Horse club :)
With the Ford Performance Stage 1 it's not a "requirement" but the Ford Dealership Parts manager said if you ever upgrade to Stage 2, with the plan to run a prepped surface, yeah, you better upgrade OPG, Half Shafts and Driveshaft.
I really love the look of the 20s on the car so would rather have something adjustable to dial it up slightly and maintain the look.
I'll see if I can remember this thread at the end of April and let you know. To be honest, not sure I would get 19" rims I would rather put that $3000+ (for rims...
I'm lowered on Sport Progressives for Magneride cars and I've got 20" rims with a 35 sidewall. I spoke with the parts manager when ordering and he said it shouldn't be an issue with any rub. Once you put the supercharger on it's like a net addition of maybe 150lbs on the front max and lowering...
You get a warranty with the Ford Performance Whipple (Stage 1) installed at a Ford dealership.
I'd rather have the engine go through the stress of boost NOW, while it is still in warranty, so it can be fixed at someone elses cost. If something is going to go catostropically wrong it'll do it...
Nice! I actually saw this video the other day as I'm about to go through the same process with my Dark Horse. FP Whipple Stage 1 being installed end of April after the snow melts. Looking forward to it! Used to have that level power in my 21 GT and wanted that in my DH since I plan on keeping...
Well, I didn't actually get to do anything to my Mustang today however I now have both my Dark Horse Model for my computer desk as well as having brought my detail products up to about 99% completition as these finally arrived today.
Still need to get some rinseless stuff that I can take on my...
