Yeah I think I'm going to go with this approach the next time I know I'm going to be away for over a week. My only hesitation is won't that reset everything like radio stations, custom settings, seats, etc.?

Do they make one that I don't have to plug in? Basically recharge it at home and just put on when I know I'm going to be away for an extended time?

Are there things I can turn off if I know the car is going to sit for a long period of time? I've heard people say to turn off the wifi. Is there anything else that draws power that can be disabled manually?

Same question I asked. What caused it to die when sitting for 9 days? When I drove it to the dealer I didn't see anything left on or connected. My cell phone charger wasn't even plugged in. I can't think of anything I even could have left on.

I mentioned this earlier but I used a NOCO 5 charger and hooked it up properly, the same manner that the roadside assistance guy hooked up his jump starter. Another owner on this thread mentioned that once the battery is completely dead the 5 amp (or even the 10) will not charge it back up...

I like the look of the space gray but black/dark interiors are better at hiding dirt, stains, imperfections. I'm in the hot Maryland summers and have never had any big issue with the black seats being too hot. I suppose if you park it outside in direct sun with the top down on a 90 degree day...

Called roadside assistance and we were able to jump start it. Drove it to the dealer ~40 miles. Since dropping it I got the Ford Pass notification that it's being put into deep sleep now due to low battery.

Just dropped it off at the dealership where I bought it. We shall see what they do, if anything.

And just to add, no aftermarket stuff of any sort. Car is stock. It was only sitting for 10 total days since last started. Moderate temperature, covered garage. This car has sat for longer than this before with no problems. I don't know of anything that could have been left on by me that could...

Just for clarity, car was completely without power. No dash lights. No sounds. Window didn't even move down when I opened the door or pulled the handle. Nothing at all. After 4 hours on the charger, nothing changed.

5 amp I will most likely pick up a jump starter after dealing with this. Not a bad thing to have around. Apparently the 5 amp was not enough to wake up a completely dead battery in this car. As I said earlier, can't do a regular battery tender in my situation.

Sheesh, that sounds like exactly what's going on. Will a jump start and a long drive charge it up you think?

Thanks for the tip. I just went out to check on it. Still no progress. I left the hood up, re-did the connections, and turned it back on. I will check it again in a couple hours. If that doesn't produce results I will call roadside assistance tomorrow.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I have the charger hooked up as instructed in the "jump starting the vehicle" section on page 280 of the manual. It's been going for three hours and still only the first red indicator is flashing on the charger and no power at all in the vehicle. I don't get...

I just put it on the NOCO Genius 5 charger I bought when I first got the car. Figured that was better on the battery than jumping it. I'll report back on how that works out. I still have no clue why it went completely dead like that. Again it was only ~10 days in 50-65 degree temperatures...

I like the graphics personally. I'd keep em. The fact that they are subtle is part of what I like about them. They don't seem obnoxious or over done.
