Man, sorry to hear about the issues you've been having.
Since the BCM is supposed to affect the lighting, did you ever notice any adverse issues or lighting issues leading up to this? I would assume so since there was corrosion in the pictures.
I take mine in Monday to get the recall fix done...
No battery issues here yet. I did get the Big-3 done with 0-Gauge wiring though. Using the factory battery.
Also, the Sundown Audio bass knob has a digital read out on it that I keep on Volts.
When I start up the car it always ramps up to 15.2-15.5 Volts. It can range, randomly from 12.5-14.8...
Sorry to hear man. I had the same thing happen to mine around 6500 mile mark. Was on the Interstate and out of nowhere a big rock hits the windshield, and since it was in the drivers view, under VA law it must be replaced.

The dealer near me is having their body shop do it, and I know their work is excellent b/c I recently had work done by them.
Told me 1-2 days max, and that they only do one recall a week....of course that could be dealer dependant.

Nice silver lining though. Rearview mirror no longer vibrates or shakes like before around 70+.

Getting my entire trunk coated in sound deadening material, so I'm hoping that makes a difference heat wise. Should provide some insulation.
I do notice that the trunk area is definitely warmer at times.
