  1. Any Whippled Mustangs have hidden trouble codes?

Curious about the outcome because I have a Whipple too. I know the Tomahawk tool used for loading the Whipple tune can read DTC's (I assume all). I checked for non displayed DTC's after reading your thread and the Tomahawk tool showed no DTC's present. Again, curious what you found out. I'm...
  2. Stock PP Package Wheels Question- Widened by Weldcraft?

Yes, traction is manageable. Yes, even with a Whipple. I turn traction control and advance trac off. I manage traction with my right foot. No question some performance is lost. I'm upgrading my wheels and tires in the next week. That will help a lot. I like to be in full control of the car...
  3. Stock PP Package Wheels Question- Widened by Weldcraft?

Manual. Traction is manageable but it would be nice to hook a little better.
  4. Stock PP Package Wheels Question- Widened by Weldcraft?

I too have a Whipple and the PP. I will be upgrading to wider wheels and tires very soon. Hopefully I will get a little more traction. Can you share the offsets on the wheels?
  5. This is going to be rough but this car is not fast enough.

Although rebuilt after mere seconds on the engine let's not forget the fastest accelerating vehicle on planet earth has a supercharged V8 internal combustion engine (Top Fuel Dragster). There is no other vehicle of any type (not referring to max speed) that can get from 0 - 60 mph in less...
  6. Side grill insert removal. Can it be removed?

If you remove the blank off on the passenger side you will expose the ugly windshield washer reservoir. Opening the drivers side could cause issues with air needing a place to exit. Seeing as you do not have the PP equates to no oil cooler.
  7. Guides on reverse camera s650 gt auto MY25

I had this happen one time in my 24' GT. Started and turned off a couple times in a row and they came back. Hasn't happened since.
  8. To Those Whippled… Better Traction with Auto or Manual?

Power delivery felt "jittery" with traction control on during WOT runs.
  9. To Those Whippled… Better Traction with Auto or Manual?

Manual here with a Whipple. First gear breaks loose very easy. Second gear will break loose as the RPM's increase. Never broke loose in 3rd. I disable traction control 100%. I control spin with my right foot. I have the PP with summer tires yours might break loose easier. Edit added on 9/2 - I...
  10. Whipple Calibration On Hold

That may not be possible in this case. If the Ford Dealer has already requested the file which requires the VIN number the OP may not be able to request another file for the same VIN number. The OP has not taken delivery of the vehicle yet which may mean he doesn't technically own it yet. There...
  11. Whipple Calibration On Hold

I'm really curious what this is about. I wonder if this hold from Ford has anything to do with the new tuning that is available for Whipple S.C.'s (Non Whipple Tunes). Going to follow this thread to see what the outcome is. Hopefully, you get some answers and a quick resolution soon.
  12. Does 5.0 coyote performance improve with octane?

High compression computer controlled engines like the Coyote will certainly perform better with high quality 93 octane fuel and beyond to a certain point. There is no argument or data that will ever dispute this fact. Old school (non computer controlled) high compression engines did not have the...
  13. Whats your favourite thing about having a whipple

The dramatic increase in power. For me it's just that simple.
  14. Mustang GTD Jay Leno review & first drive

There is nobody better that I can think of who deserves to have such a car and motorcycle collection than Jay Leno. He is a true car guy and fortunate enough through his hard work and fame to be able to afford what he has. Kudos to Jay Leno.
  15. Front bumper has a scrape on it. Is a full repaint necessary?

I've never had any issues with the spot repairs I've done. The last one I did was over 5 years ago and it still looks the same. One would be hard pressed to ever find it on the vehicle without a paint defect light or something along those lines.
  16. GT 500 strut brace ?

They can be had used on occasion. Expect to pay out the you know what if you really want one. Like $1800.00 +/-.
  17. Front bumper has a scrape on it. Is a full repaint necessary?

The right person could do a spot repair (filler, base coat and clear). The clear coat would have to wet sanded and polished to blend. I spot repaired myself many times and I'm not an expert painter. Took me a few tries to get things right the first time. I used a small Sata spray gun (not cheap...
  18. Whipple driven by goober vs beat up old Viper ACR

I didn't watch the entire video but. Did everyone miss the under hood shot of the Viper where I could clearly see a Nitrous solenoid? I suppose that solenoid could be used for Water/Methanol injection too. My guess is Nitrous. Maybe they mention this somewhere later in the video - It was clearly...
  19. Normal Oil Temperature for 5.0?

The PP oil coolers do make a difference. My GT PP has a FP/Whipple stage 1. At 94* ambient after a few hard pulls oil temps never went higher than 218*.
