Great question. I picked up a 2024 GT vert on March 1 that is sitting in my garage in PEI awaiting better weather. I don’t plan on driving it year round, but given the snow, salt, sand, and other crap we get, I would not want that open to the elements during the winter. I just went out to the...
I ordered and received the same car, minus the performance package, and with AVE, and am very happy with it, although I only have about 15 miles on it as it is still crappy weather in eastern Canada. With the PP you will have different wheels, I will likely replace my wheels at some point. My...
Wishing you a fast delivery, it will be an awesome car when you get it. Most of the posters who have had long delays seem to be waiting for a Dark Horse. It is unfortunate that they could not have been built and delivered in the same time frames as most of the other models and options.
When I ordered mine in Dec/23, I haggled with the dealer. They quickly offered to knock $2,000 off the list price. I pulled an online ad from a dealer in Ontario that was offering about $3,600 off a similar Mustang that the had on their lot. The dealer came back with an offer to knock $3,000...
Yes, followed the tracker and the scheduled arrival dates changed every couple of days. On the morning of Feb 29, the arrival date at the dealer was showing as Mar 3 - 12. I called the salesman at the dealer and he did a search and said it looked like the car was in northern New Brunswick...
I drove my car from the dealership to my house and other than taking it out of the garage to wash it, it will remain in the garage until the last of the snow/salty roads are gone, which will be about the end of March. There are only 25 kms (about 15 miles) on the car. It seemed to drive fine...
I took delivery of a GT convertible on March 1st that had been built on Feb 16. It has the same hole in the wheel wells that the earlier cars had and I will be ordering the repair kit.
I see you are in Ontario. I am in PEI and had similar thoughts as I went to order a Mustang in Dec/23. I presently have a 2023 CRV which is my daily driver, and an 03 Mustang GT convertible with a 5 sp manual, a Borla exhaust, and some other mild performance mods. I enjoy driving the 03 and...
Much to my, and the dealer’s surprise, the car arrived at the dealer on Feb 29, less than 2 months from the date the dealer placed the order (Jan 2). I picked it up March 1 and it will be resting in the garage with the other half of the “Blues Brothers” until all the snow is gone and the...
I was the guy who got his car in less than 2 months from the order date. Dealer is in Canada’s smallest province (Prince Edward Island) and serves a population of approx 50,000. They sell 4 or 5 Mustangs a year and the only one they have on hand is a Dark Horse in the showroom. My order...
Car has been picked up and in the garage at home - parked next to the 03 GT convertible. I requested no wash during the PDI, and the car is quite dirty, but still has a shine. The drive home was the first time I drove a Mustang newer than an 03, loving it.
Thanks, I know!!!! I am still finding it hard to believe it is here. Picking it up this afternoon. Just getting my proof of insurance and other documents in order.
Yes, you need the VIN, but I think in most cases you can get one fairly quick after your order goes in. You cannot access the schedule without the order number and VIN.
In Canada, we go to ford.ca. Click on My Account, and then Check Order Status. You will need the order number from the dealer (mine was a letter and 3 numbers ie X300) And the VIN. Enter both and it brings up the tracking information. You will have to create an account on the Ford website...
Thanks very much. There is still snow on the ground in PEI, so it will be coming home to the garage until early April, or so. It will give me a chance to spend some time figuring out all of the settings and electronics. Good luck with your delivery.
