  1. Ford has no clue who their customers our

Not true. I own an s650 and it's the worst built car I've ever owned both with software glitches and problems with the mechanical components along with horrible service from local dealers and not just one, three of them. See my other threads for details. Car's been out of my possession often...
  2. MT82 - How are the shifts?

I think I found where the clutch delay valve is after reviewing some posts on mustang6G. It appears to be In the elbow between the transmission and the plastic clutch line that everybody replaces for the stainless steel line. Link to the relevant thread is below. The pictures in that thread do a...
  3. smooooth / sticky? clutch

The fact that it went away over time suggests air in the line causing the master cylinder to be sluggish. Over time, the air bled itself out with ongoing use as ford claims it is a self-bleeding system with enough pumping / clutch usage. That may be all it needed...time and use.
  4. Rear Spoiler for convertible

I have a request. Can you take a picture directly from the back so we can see how well it clears the center high mount stop light on the trunk. And some close-ups of how the spoiler fits on the car would also be helpful. Thank you so much.
  5. smooooth / sticky? clutch

Sounds like there may be a malfunction with the clutch delay valve. I think generally we call it a clutch delay valve but in Ford speak it's called a peak torque limiter. It seems to be contained in the elbow that goes from the clutch line to the transmission itself. See this thread with the PDF...
  6. Rear Spoiler for convertible

Does the right corner of the spoiler hit the antenna when you open the trunk all the way or does it clear the factory antenna?
  7. MT82 - How are the shifts?

I was referring to previous threads on mustang 6G discussing issues with the 2019 and putting in 4.09 gears
  8. Side Mirror Angle When in R

This is definitely an oversight on Ford's part as my 2016 Camaro 2SS manual used to have it as a feature on the touchscreen where you can set either the left/right/both mirrors to tilt down when in reverse. The lack of this even on a premium is just silly and can be solved with an OTA update...
  9. Shift indicator keeps resetting

I'm having the same problem. The shift light indicator resets to 4000 RPM when I normally have it set to 7200 RPM. Anybody ever find a fix for this that sticks? Nobody else uses the car so it's not related to the second key fob being used because that fob is stored away. I don't know if the...
  10. MT82 - How are the shifts?

The device you're referring to is commonly called a clutch delay valve. I'm surprised I haven't heard anything about one yet in the mustang community. I'm suspecting there is one just based on my observed behavior of the clutch and the slow pedal return after a fast shift. It's likely in the...
  11. How many miles were on your car at delivery?

Somebody ordered it but ended up not taking delivery. They probably had good reason and I probably didn't see it and made the impulse purchase. Nonetheless, none of the issues with the car seem to be related to any kind of abuse. It's more manufacturing / assembly / dealer service issues that...
  12. MT82 - How are the shifts?

That will get you close on gears 1 through 3 with the earlier MT82(non d4 version) which was geared much better and was really impressive gearing other than the durability issues. Fourth (1:1) remains too long despite the 4.09. 5th and 6th end up shorter and killing highway mileage...
  13. How many miles were on your car at delivery?

80 plus on arrival. Car has lots of issues but none related to the mileage that was on it at delivery. I don't know if it's really worth worrying about unless tons of brake dust on the wheels or rear tire tread depth seems shallow or the clutch/trans acts funny at delivery/test drive.
  14. MT82 - How are the shifts?

There's a large difference in gear ratios. I'm also suspecting there's a significant difference in the synchro design as the speed at which you can shift a tremec compared to the MT82 is significantly different. It is not something that a shifter can change because you can't really force the box...
  15. MT82 - How are the shifts?

S650 MT82-D4 PP vert owner here. This is my understanding of the technical issues of the MT82D4 as an owner, gearhead, and as a mechanical engineer. In terms of its strengths, I think people make a big deal about torque capacity of the MT82... I don't think it's ever had a problem handling a...
  16. Top speed with 4.09 rear gear and MT82?

I think the best way to break it down is with the data/calculations. By my calculations, you should be fine. You won't hit the rev limiter in 5th (182.91 mph @REDLINE in 5th) because the speed limiter @ 155mph will kick in before that. I used the calculator on the Tremec website...
  17. How many are regretting

If I could go 60 days back in time I would not purchase. Seems like Ford issues with UAW are affecting build quality and the dealers already have enough volume with the baseline build quality that the new issues can't really be dealt with / don't have enough time / experience to handle. Two...
  18. Trickle charger recommendation for winter storage.

The Noco brand seems to be quite good and I've used my two amp Noco Genius charger for years for my Aston Martin as well as my previous motorcycles. Quite easily available online. The noco genius chargers work for standard lead acid automotive batteries, and have a button to switch to different...
  19. How long before Ford Performance will offer a powerkit for the GT for this car?

Question for you... If the S650 5.0 stock tune has a ton of knock retard built into it, would you be able to safely run E30 or E40 with the stock tune and make more power as that will allow for reduction / elimination of the knock retard? Or is there not enough fueling in the maps to justify that?
