All agreed to so far. I have My GT350R Hep not because it's a Shelby, it's just an overall compelling package to me. If I'm to be honest it bugs that CS didn't have much to do with the development of the car and yet his name is on it for nostalgic reasons. I am grateful enthusiasts know that my...
I applied and got denied for whatever reason. In hindsight I'm glad that I didn't drop $400K on a 4,400 lb carbon clad car (what's up with the weight saving just to get to 4,400 lbs by the way). Anyway if I had ended up with the car it would bug the hell out of me that the heart of the car and...
I understand the underpinnings are all different etc and the GTD's performance is supercar level. But the car shares the interior and the engine for the most part. And if the DH SC can be tuned, smaller pulley right off the bat, I dunno kind of makes the GTD seem like a big money grab to me.
The way I see it is the engine is the heart of the car, and if you're going to say 'this is a Ford Racing product' the engine that you race with should be in the car. Otherwise it's just marketing.
Is it a Ford Racing vehicle? They don't race the 5.2. I get all the other innovation but what about the actual engine that they race with? A breathed on 5.4 that they actually race with seems more compelling than a 5.2 that they've put in the GT500, Raptor and GTD that they don't race with.
The exhaust tips suck. Design language should always be horizontal which exhibit width, grip and stance. They should have made them a conventional circular design or horizontal like the GTD.
I threw my hat in the ring, the DH SC at whatever price it lands at is way more compelling to me. We'll see where the lap times land between the two.
You can get titanium paddles and shifter on the DH SC for much less...just without it being derived from fighter jets
AND, who is going to be interested in this car, a whippled Mustang GT at $123K when you can get a DH SC directly from Ford for likely less. Shelby American needs to fold:
I posted that I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't offer something different than the 5.2. I have that in my Raptor R. They offered it in the GT500 a few years back and currently offer it in the GTD. A 5.4 with a manual would have been something different and would align directly with what...
Not being offered with a manual...probably not going to be expressing interest in this car. The S650 overall is just lacking to me from a style perspective. There's a lot going on with the DH SC (not in a good way) and the design doesn't flow. There are elements that look aftermarket in a cheap...
I'm a customer for these cars and applied for a GTD. I've had many high performance Fords and yet they denied my application. I thought I had a solid shot at it but for whatever reason I'll not be getting one. After the specs came out with additional pics of the interior and exterior the GTD is...
I thought the whole guilt free burning synthetic fuel in the Mustang was really stupid. Everything in that Mustang was built with oil in some way. Save me from the typical virtue signaling crap, nobody cares.
Top Gear always sucked...
Did they expect people to be excited about what they've done ?
Enthusiasts aren't stupid, what they're offering in this GT350 doesn't pass the smell test. They needed to offer something that couldn't be duplicated with parts off of any parts website (available to anyone) for people to be...
