  1. Start stockpiling parts for your s650 immediately

So your theory is that the federal government will forbid the sale of new belts and hoses for cars manufactured before current safety equipment was mandated? You do realize that you can still buy belts, hoses, tires, etc. for cars too old to have airbags and antilock brakes, right?
  2. Start stockpiling parts for your s650 immediately

What? No government confiscated people's EV-1s. This was an experimental car, and General Motors did not sell them. They leased them out and did not give the leasees the option to buy them after the lease expired. You can question the wisdom of the whole program, but it was always GM's...
  3. If you're not getting a Mustang now, what are you doing until then?

I am checking this site and Ford Authority every day, keeping an eye out for information on the 2027 Mustang. If they are doing a styling refresh and it's going to be prettier, then I will wait until the order banks are open for the 2027 MY. If it's changing and will be uglier, I need to visit...
  4. Don't get hit by a turkey doing 70mph!

    That is crazy.
  5. American flag livery S650 on Route 66 Celebrations Tour

Same here. It's not something I would do myself, but it makes me smile that someone else did it.
  6. Putting rim screws in factory wheels?

Yeah, I'm no wheel expert, but I suspect it would be pretty risky doing this on wheels not designed for it.
  7. 2026 Saleen 302 White Label Mustang S650

The front end of the Saleen Mustang is by far my favorite element of it. If I had an S650 and could buy the Saleen front clip and not have to change the hood, I would seriously think about it. To my eyes, it is by far the best-looking Mustang front end for the 7th generation.
  8. Coyote/S650 Derangement Syndrome

Editing notes: "Rushing" and "too fast" are redundant; I suggest deleting "too fast." Replace "necessarily" with "thought you." Add a comma after "typed." Decapitalize "God." Sorry. I couldn't resist.
  9. The 2026 Mustang Dark Horse SC outputs 795 Horsepower

Yes, I feel quite sorry for them, having to get by with a lousy 795 hp.
  10. Date for 2026 order bank closing date?

I will be interested in finding out, as well. There are still variables that make it uncertain whether we'll be ready to order this summer or will have to wait until fall.
  11. '25-26 PP does include oil cooler, RIGHT?

I don't have time to look up the list of everything that is included in the Performance Pack, but yes, an oil cooler is included.
  12. Where manuals at? (I'm angry all the time)

All of the Ecoboost Mustangs are autos since the 2024 model year. So there must be plenty of GTs with manuals, but not in my area. If I look online for new Mustang GTs in the Nashville-to-Knoxville area, they are almost all automatics. And forget about Performance Pack. There is a 100%...
  13. Introducing the 2026 Steeda Q-Series Track Edition Packages

It is interesting that Steeda is using a centrifugal supercharger when almost everyone else uses positive displacement. To me, it looks like the centrifugal is more advantageous. I don't know why centrifugal superchargers aren't more popular.
  14. 2028 Camaro 7th gen approved! 🥊

That picture isn't from Chevrolet. It's just one of many pictures that people have dreamed up.
  15. MT/AT: I'm madder than a wet hen

I've seen that happen quite a bit on Autotrader.com, as well.
  16. 2028 Camaro 7th gen approved! 🥊

I've never even heard of a company retiring a name, if "retiring" is supposed to mean a pledge to never use it again. Ford retired the Maverick name in 1977, then decided to bring it back a few years ago.
  17. Redefining what a Mustang GT is "supposed" to sound like?

After 80,000 miles on my 2011, I still love the way it sounds. Outside of an Italian 12-cylinder or a Shelby GT350's Voodoo, I can't think of any stock engine whose sound I like better.
  18. IN PRODUCTION ----WHHOPPEE..

    Good for you!
  19. Am I getting real leather with the FX package?

I believe you are mistaken. Either that, or Ford's website is wrong. If you go to the Build and Price page for the GT Premium and select no options (meaning you have the 400A package), it says the seats are ActiveX. If you select the 401A package, that changes to Leather-Trimmed. If you...
