  1. Pros vs cons, red vs white

I've never in my life seen a car color change insurance rates unless it's some sort of special painted color. It has everything to do with your history, area, etc.
  2. Pros vs cons, red vs white

Really depends what you want/like. I've had all sorts of different colors. White is the most common color on the road - and it's also the easiest to keep clean and typically always looks pretty good. For me, I ordered a bright red one. My dad had a 66 Fastback that was candy apple red - and I...
  3. C&D's 2024 Mustang GT Review + Instrument Tested Performance Results

Looks like the new car results do not include rollout, but the previous car does, if I'm reading it correctly.
  4. UAW workers overwhelmingly vote to authorize strikes at GM, Ford, Stellantis!

This is a formality that happens in any type of contract talks. There'd be no teeth to their demands if their members didn't also intend to back it up with a strike. The contract ends Sept 14 at midnight. There's no guarantee they'll strike when it ends. There's no guarantee they'll strike at...
  5. Are these all the mustangs waiting at train station in NewBoston,MI?

The bottom of the image mentions it is from 5/8/22-7/15/22.
  6. Anybody get their Darkhorse yet?

I would assume, based on my past experience with Bronco FE, there's some QC issue that happened on earlier builds that's requiring them to go back through and fix/update/repair, whatever, which is why you see some of those slowly trickle out and all the newer builds ship pretty quickly after...
  7. Latest Mustang Production Key Commodity Constraints (8/18/23)

Now to hope the UAW doesn't walk off :p
  8. x-plan

That's part of XPlan as well - there's a cap on the docu fee that they can charge. That said, there's no way honoring X Plan is costing them much at all unless their normal doc fee is thousands of dollars and they rip people off that way. As mentioned, they aren't the ones paying for the "plan"...
  9. x-plan

Don’t do business with a company that’s willing to treat you that way. Honestly, Mustangs are not high demand. They will be on the lot at MSRP soon, you also shouldn’t lose a deposit for not picking up the car and I wouldn’t have bought from anyone where that’s the case. This is a mass produced...
  10. x-plan

Yes. Only the dark horse is ineligible.
  11. What Color Will Your S650 Be?

Race red for me - tired of all the blues and grays and dark colors. I have antimatter blue on my Raptor, it's a great deep blue but I just want something bright in the garage.
  12. Wireless Android Auto & Fullscreen Support

I am willing to bet it will have fullscreen support. They added it as an OTA update for the F150's as when I got my Raptor it didn't initially go full screen.
  13. What are you upgrading from?

Just buying to add - most recently I had a MK5 Supra as my fun car, but I sold it about a year ago when I realized I wasn't driving it much since it was a 2-seater. Fun car though, really fun on the track. Looking forward to getting back to a 5.0, I had a 15 and 18 GT.
  14. S650 GT or C7/C8

It is definitely low to the ground. Personally non Z06 I’d get a Mustang over a C7 Stingray. I considered a C8 but I prefer 4 seats - and a C8 LT2 Z51 was around 85k MSRP. To me, they are just different cars. The Corvette seems like a bad daily driver, but I never owned it for that and won’t...
  15. S650 GT or C7/C8

They're different cars. I guess it depends what you're looking for. I owned a C7z and there's honestly no comparison to a Mustang, that car was heads and shoulders above any other sports car I had owned at the time. However, it's a 2 seater, and I have 2 kids. So it didn't get driven much.
  16. More Parking Lots Full of 2024 Mustangs

I mean have you ever seen how just in time manufacturing works (when it really works)? These companies have this stuff down to a science... well had, unfortunately supply chain disruptions have made it a bit wonky.
  17. Order confirmation

You'll get an email once it is scheduled for production. So you got the order confirmation, your next email will be either the 45 day automated email or a production scheduled email. It'll say: Exciting news–your Mustang has been scheduled for production.
  18. Farley: 2024 Mustangs Begin Shipping Next Week! - 13,000 U.S. Orders So Far (67% V8 Take Rate)

    Not compared to other cars, obviously, but this is a niche product. Here's some model year sales figures from previous gen: 2015 122,349 2016 105,932 2017 81,866 2018 75,842 2019 72,489 2020 61,090
  19. Camaro Guy Tracks the New Dark Horse Mustang! 9 Plusses and 3 Minuses.

No HUD is a weird option in a car with a technology refresh, especially when the Camaro has (had) it, and many modern cars do. It's not a big deal for me, polarized sunglasses make it almost useless during the day but it is a nice feature. I'm not too worried about a glare on the screens - and...
