  1. Road Trip Kit - What would you bring on a 1000 mile (each way) road trip

There are a few items I keep in all of my cars just in case something happens: 1. A case of water bottles. 2. Blankets. (Walmart has little fleece travel blankets for like $5) 3. Clean shirts and socks. 4. A spotlight. 5. Jumper cables. 6. Travel tire pump. (If not included in repair kit) 7. Ice...
  2. Mustang Sales

One of the biggest problems we're seeing, across all industries, is the emphasis in boardrooms for higher short-term shareholder profits over long term customer satisfaction and product value.
  3. How to TURN THIS OFF

It saved me yesterday on my way to work when some jackass cut in front of me and slammed his brake pedal, seemingly, to the floor. By the time I registered what was happening and went to apply the brake, it was already engaged. Without it, my reaction time wouldn't have been fast enough to avoid...

  5. Dark Horse Stats?

Yeah, I think they started randomizing chassis numbers fairly early. Probably the first 10 or so were sequenced, then after that random. It's the only way to explain 4k being made, and chassis numbers in the 9,000s. I've been daily driving mine since I picked it up. Rain, snow, or sunshine...
  6. Another dire sales report [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

    That's been my entire point.
  7. Another dire sales report [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I agree, but they can be pretty enticing when prices are reduced to half of the ICE equivalent, you get a $5k tax credit, you get 0% to 2% APR for financing, and you're not paying $5 per gallon at the pump. For a lot of people that is a very convincing argument.
  8. Another dire sales report [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

No I don't they would have been buying the Mach-E from day 1. I think that the Tesla is actually more in-line with what Mustang enthusiasts are looking for than a Mach-E is. Considering the Mach-E is built on a modified Explorer frame and is really only a Mustang in name, Mustang enthusiasts and...
  9. Another dire sales report [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

What makes you so sure Mustang drivers weren't buying EVs?
  10. Another dire sales report [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Right. Directly in line with the push for people to go electric. The Mach-E wasn't around yet to directly compete with the Mustang, but Tesla had been on the market for nearly a decade, Renault and Chevy were breaking into the EV space, and the Tesla Model 3 was announced and only a couple years...
  11. Another dire sales report [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I don't think the demand is dying. EVs are getting discounts, incentives, tax breaks, and low APR financing, while ICE prices are being inflated, marked up at the dealers, have higher APRs and are taxed like crazy. I think the demand is still there, but I think automakers have to consider that a...
  12. Another dire sales report [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

It's real easy to look at this and think the Mustang is doomed because sales are bad compared to the Mach-E. Everyone needs to consider that the ICE Mustangs have undergone large price hikes and large dealer mark-ups which are driving the once affordable pony out of the reach of many...
  13. Are hood pins a requirement on day 1 of a CF hood install?

Being able to secure your hood is a day 1 requirement.
  14. Warming Up Temp Ranges?

This was about 30 minutes into my 45 minute drive home from work yesterday. It was about 20 minutes of city and 10 minutes of highway at this point. Important notes: 2025 Dark Horse so it has oil coolers. Manual Transmission, so axle oil temp instead of transmission temp. Outside temp was 50°...
  15. Are hood pins a requirement on day 1 of a CF hood install?

I mean, you kind of risk your hood flying up into your windshield at highway speed causing complete loss of forward vision and situational awareness of traffic in front of you, at which point you become a danger to your own life and the lives of those around you. But that's just the worst case...
  16. Dark Horse Stats?

I originally ordered mine when the banks opened in 2023 for a 2024 with AP and HP, but with the summer only build times, HP wheels being out of stock for a while, running out of Tremec transmissions for the 2024s, and the low number of allotments for WA in general, I was told it was going to...
  17. Dark Horse Stats?

That was part of why my order got pushed from a 2024 to a 2025. Orders can be placed for the Handling pack, but they won't be built until April at the earliest. It never made sense to me though. With or without the handling package, both sets of tires are summer tires, whether it's the Trofeo...
  18. My Dark Horse finally got delivered!

My 9yo went shopping with his grandma to give her a hand (she just had shoulder surgery) and as a 'thank you' she let him pick a toy from the store. He grabbed the silver Hot Wheels GTD, and has spent the last few weeks in his room just zooming it around his tracks. The kid has taste.
  19. My Dark Horse finally got delivered!

100% that would be awesome. I'm pretty sure most of the parts were pretty standard. Keep all the decals, black, grey, clear, and tinted pieces the same and it's just a matter of getting all the blue pieces in white. If you do, I'd love to see it. My real DH is Blue Ember, so I kept the blue. An...
  20. Dark Horse Stats?

I don't remember where I read it, but a few weeks ago I saw something saying that about 4,000 2024s were made, and 2025s are only being made by order.
