It makes sense in that the s650 is already an overweight platform. Every time Ford adds capabilities to it, they don’t go very far in addressing the weight.
They start slapping on beefier suspension , supercharger, wide body panels, extra motors to control the aero flaps, extra cooling, etc...
A supercharged dark horse is a scary thing. That’s awesome.
I just wish it was priced reasonably.
If Chevy could get the Camaro SS 1le at a 50k price point, ford could do it.
bet they’d sell a ton of them at that price.
Talking about factory mustangs.
Of course any tuner can go as crazy as they want.
Even the 2029 gt500 was pretty dang expenff so I’ve unfortunately. But it was still a bargain compared to the typical exotic.
And yet somehow tje corvette ktt err at prices down. Ford makes quite a bit on thr...
Good post. Ive said similar things myself.
But none of that alleviates critique.
It still didn’t meet its target and still costs way too much considering its benchmarks were not met.
It IS. A great car -for a GT500 tier.
However, at least so far, it is a somewhat failed experiment. It...
More like 1, with the rest huddling together on how to look like the hood guy while controlling their people - because the 1 guys right hand called them out to their faces.
Being concerned about our freedom and vigilant to notice when it’s threatened is why we still have it. If only citizens around the world had the same backbone to speak out and stand up against threats to freedom no matter how big or insignificant those threats appear.
Hopefully you’re right. If it ends up actually being THAT much faster snd beating the gt3rs time, then the GTD will have earned its respect for sure.
Turned out amazing too. not bad at all. Especially for a $49,000 car.
Today, some of the people on this forum would tell you thst such a car could not exist unless it was over 100k.
The reality is it just takes the passion to build such a thing in the parts of the development team and the...
Shelby has its own very capable engineers. Let’s not forget they designed and built the tuatara
Which was the world’s fastest car at the time. Shelby has the longest racing heritage of any tuner out there snd a very close working relationship with Ford. They know how to curate the right parts...
I think they all need to drop the nonsense and all of the flavor of the month idealism and get back to making great cars that are each pushing to be the best at what they do. Trucks should be capable, EVs should save you money (instead, it’s become the biggest grift, costing an arm and a leg...
Wrong again. And all tje drivel afterward thst had nothing to do with ford not doing enough with. A 325-400+k car.
I said the Gtd was born to beat the gt3rs. It’s what it was made to do. And still somehow missed.
There is just no getting around thst, no matter how many OTHER cars you talk...
Of course CA calls the shots in CA - and those shots depend on who’s in charge, which depends on the people putting them there.
And as we’ve seen the last decade, there is no guarantee who or what policies tje people will go for. It does seem these days that there is at the very least a...
yeah guy. Everyone’s seen the fastest list for the ring. And no, that wasn’t the first run for a Mustang. or for multimatic, who actually built the car. The difference for most of those cars is that they were regular OEM cars. Not one-offs, meant specifically to excel at the ring. That’s the...
