  1. Owners manual arrived!

I suspect it's only on a manual transmission as either the engine can hold the car with an auto or you can put your left foot on the brake.
  2. Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power error on brand new mustang.

Have to wait for rokets reply but to answer your question, there was another tread that started like this. The failure ended up being a problem with a cam sensor, something repaired under warranty. That error can happen for many reasons and without more information, we don't know the exact failure.
  3. Does this sound legit???

My dealer wanted my drivers license and I am pretty sure they checked my credit score. As it was over 800, I gave them a security deposit for the car and then a check for the balance when it was delivered. I didn't see a credit application because they knew I was good for the money one way or...
  4. No start issue.

AGM batteries pack a lot of punch in a small battery and any flaw in manufacturing means a shorter life. I can tell that the battery in my car probably sat for 6 months or more before it was installed in the car. The degree of sulfating wouldn't have happened in the month or so from assembly to...
  5. No start issue.

Hope it's bad because you will have found the problem and the dealer will replace under warranty.
  6. Anyone else find the cabin interior warm?

I like it warm but perhaps it's because Ford has sealed up the air leaks and when the sun is out the green house effect warms the car up. Also when the car is set to auto mode, it's pretty fast to adjust the temperature. Make sure when running auto you have the temperature set where you're...
  7. OVER 800HP TO THE WHEELS?! Part 2 - Whipple Supercharged 2024 Mustang GT on the dyno!

Looks like the backup light switch is a little close to the neutral. It's possible that the back up screen may attempt to come on as well.
  8. Why did you get an Automatic over a 6 Speed?

As was my response. You need to see the movie "Cool hand Luke" if you don't know the reference.
  9. Top speed with 4.09 rear gear and MT82?

it depends. Unmodified it will be slower but it's possible to tell the computer about the different rear end to fix the speedometer. That will probably return you to the 155 mph. On the other hand, the limiter can be removed and the car will go even faster. Be warned that Ford limited it for a...
  10. Pirelli tire observation

I had a lower ball joint fail on my 61 Falcon. They did a mid year upgrade on them but I had the older ones. The wheel folded under the car and as I was doing about 45 miles per hour, it was a fun ride. I didn't hit anything and worked myself off the road but the steering really pulled...
  11. Minimal Bass - B&O Sound System

I was listing to the Piano Man on the radio today and I thought the base was a bit heavy. Might have been my hearing because I can't hear anything above 5k but I can clearly hear base that will rumble your stomach. I think the solution to the lack of base is to fold the back seats down. They...
  12. Why did you get an Automatic over a 6 Speed?

I think we have a failure to communicate!
  13. Pirelli tire observation

Back in the 1990's, Firestone had a serious problem in one of there tires that was on many vehicles. While many people were killed because of it, I suspect a large part of the problem was improper driver training. When you have a tire fail, the last thing you want to do is hit the brake because...
  14. Driving Tips - Manual Transmission

It depends on how much drag there is in the clutch. There could be enough to keep the gears tuning and it wouldn't be a problem. On the other hand, sometimes I start the car and it's in the wrong gear so I try to shift to the correct one. I may find the gears don't line up so It won't go into...
  15. Can you put a set of 4/09 gears in the manual yet?

I don't know the answer to that but if you can drift a car, you probably don't need a steeper ratio. When you race, the object is to keep the wheels glued to the ground as you get less grip when the wheels spin. Now if you want to drift the car, that could be a good upgrade.
  16. Car Wash

I wouldn't think it should leak. You may have noticed when you close the door the window move up a little bit. It's possible the stop is set just a little low and it's not sealing correctly. You should make an appointment with Ford and see if they can tighten it up a bit.
  17. Dark Horse vs Nismo Z vs Supra - Everyday Driver

My mom's 2016 Edge has it. A real pain when it gets messed up because it needs to be reset before it works again. She lost a battery and that was enough to mess up the system. Needed to flat bed it to Ford for a battery and a reset.
  18. Driving Tips - Manual Transmission

Rev matching is for manuals only and it blips the gas when you downshift. It probably is helpful for somebody new to a manual but I found it a pain in the back side because I sometimes downshift a bit before I am ready to let the clutch out.
  19. Driving Tips - Manual Transmission

Down shifting asks the question. Do you want to replace a clutch or the brakes. Down shifting is good if your going to be in it for a while but stop signs I wouldn't do unless my brakes failed.
