So I don't have my car yet, but I sat in one at the dealership. Getting the seat where it was comfortable had the steering wheel blocking the upper half of the screen. I love my steering wheel low, though, so that probably plays a role.
Just keep in mind that there are impurities and acids that form in motor oil even from just light use. I wouldn't let any oil sit in the crankcase more than 6 months total.
I would do an oil change for sure before storage. I've also read a teaspoon of fresh motor oil down the spark plug holes to keep the top end lubed is a good idea (I read this probably 20 years ago so check with a Ford tech before adding oil to the combustion chamber, but I wouldn't think any...
I went to "in production" 2 days ago and still no window sticker both with the link from the tracker and the link @Phrawst posted. Fixing to go to Ford chat and see what they can do.
Update: Link from the tracker still isn't working, but the link from @Phrawst works like a charm!
Although I couldn't crank up the volume when I looked at a S650 at the local dealer (it was on the showroom floor and I didn't want to be rude) I was able to listen to the 12 speaker sound system at a modest volume. The clarity and depth is there, but I confess I didn't get the volume to a...
Stands for balance out. Usually for end of model year, or when they're looking to stop or change an option. NPP and PP have been tight this entire time so perhaps there is a projected limit to what will be remaining for retail orders. I know my build has slid to the right twice because of this.
My salesman told me performance package Mustangs are sliding to the right for build dates due to part shortages. Anyone with the PP get an earlier build date than originally scheduled?
I also prefill the filter, but I've been told it doesn't make a difference by a Ford technician. I have also been told not to lube the gasket either as it can cause the filter to back off of the newer engines. Two things I've done since I got my first car at 17. Hard habits to break.
I always warm mine up a little to thin the oil and I like knowing I have oil on the internals of the engine for that dry filter start. Mostly it's just my personal preference and makes me feel better about that 3-5 seconds that it takes the oil to get to the bearings, etc.
It was just a thought that there may be another cause for the phones getting so hot. Sounds like that's not the case after all. Great feedback and conversation, though. Thanks for the input and update! I'll be watching for this when I pick mine up from the dealer.
