It its not a short it’s most likely the battery. The battery is much easier to ‘test’ than it is to find a short. I’d start with a getting the battery checked and if ‘any’ question about it have it replaced. Good luck and hopefully just a weak charge. Basic rule of thumb 15 minutes at 1500 rpms...
