There are a couple threads going about this.
If the battery charge is under 80% the update won't go through. This was confirmed when I called Ford Pass. Once I charged the battery it updated fine.
Agreed. So many people fixate on the screens. Coming from two S550s, I was shocked at much I like the S650 interior. It is so much more refined, at least in premium form.
Anything but the engine in a Ferrari has serious build quality issues lol. The interior quirks and problems are pretty well known in the collecting community.
No. The car does not SEND this info unless you have it enabled.
As for the identifying data, your car is the least of problems in that regard. As I said in my previous post, your cell phone and laptops have made sure all your operations are and data are being tracked by algorithms.
And like...
It makes sense now that I think about it. The 3 window display is only when I'm using Android Auto. I just use it 99% of the time so never realized it was an Android thing.
I have a buddy who owns a 911 and Ferrari Maranello. He's just a regular dude who likes a wide variety of cars. Both are amazing cars for very different reasons. It's crazy how jealous and stupid some people act when you drive a car like that. Especially when most of us would drop serious coin...
Everyone is selling your data my friend. If you are using a computer or smart phone you have no privacy and EVERYTHING is being tracked.
Also, there are options in the infotainment system that allow you to select what Ford tracks on the vehicle. Most of mine are shut off.
I'm not with my car right now and don't have a picture. But at the top right of the screen there is a button with 4 arrows. Push it, and it shrinks the main center screen a little and adds a 3rd side screen on the far right. You can then scroll the side screen for 5 different display options.
