  1. Flat Rock plant down due to quality issues

I'm not doubting the topics being discussed. Or, that Ford is wrestling with them. Me personally, I'd like to see something more official. Ford is working on QC issues, we've confirmed that much. Not just Flat Rock, MI, but several other locations. But with respect to dates and Mustang...
  2. Flat Rock plant down due to quality issues

Is there some source document for the above? Something we can see?
  3. Realistic goal on S650 after delay emails from Ford.

In previous MYs, some Mustang orders were significantly delayed or canceled. Not to discount those clients' experiences, but they were few and at the extreme end of what happened. As other's have stated, the Bronco was another extreme; it was a completely new model, built with unprecedented...
  4. 5.0 Break in Miles…

Some additional insight from an earlier thread:
  5. Grabber Blue vs Vapor Blue Poll

I don't consider one color better than another. Each person enjoys and appreciates their selection. I currently own a GBM car. Given the choice to change to Vapor Blue, I'd keep what I have. Velocity Blue was a killer color; I'd consider changing to it, as I would several other of the brighter...
  6. Ok, someone educate me here

That's a welcome sign, that Ford ack'd the order. I'd double-check with the salesperson, but it reads like he was unaware of his current allocations. A simple call or check-in to follow-up should remove any doubt.
  7. Ok, someone educate me here

That is correct. Every order, any model, has to be paired with a Ford factory allocation. Allocations are model-specific and gifted based on previous sales. Dealers who sell a lot of Mustangs will be gifted more allocations than a dealer who sells few. If an allocation is not available, while...
  8. I cancelled with my local dealer, much better dealer out of state.

In today's market, in several places of the country, MSRP is at least a fair, if not great deal. Several Members have commented of dealers who will not even discuss a sale unless a mark-up is involved. If Ford increases the list price increases before arrival, you should be covered. Ask the...
  9. Post your scheduled production build dates here!

Shortly after placing the order, you should have received a confirmation e-mail from Ford. Did you? If not, follow-up with the dealer. Many times, they input the address incorrectly, or forget. After order confirmation, you might not receive any further word for quite some time (months). The...
  10. The new dashboard is a big mistake IMO

If living in Korea, cars pricing at the level of a G90 are most often bought by wealthy and executive types. Owners typically have drivers/chauffeurs. Times past, the Equus was such a car. Always in black with heavily-tinted windows. Always with a chauffeur. It's a level of car which shows...
  11. Oil catch can YES or NO?

Ford Performance sells them. If it is a concern, simply remove the unit (they can be installed or removed in moments) before taking into the dealer and re-install after picking the car up. Countless units are installed. I'm sure one can find extremes anywhere on the Internet, but I've never...
  12. 2024 Mustang Clean Up Scheduling This Week (5/4/23) for June Production Weeks

Some insight I provided to another Member previously:
  13. Oil catch can YES or NO?

So I have a Gen 3 V-8, drawing 15 ml / 1 Tbs of oil every 1250 miles, 2011 kms. If the car were a DD, putting down 10K mi / 16K km a year, that measures out to as much as 1/2 cup, 236 ml a year. I prefer to keep all that out of the intake system.
  14. New Ford (Private) Offer: $1250 Cash Incentive on 2024 Mustangs (Non-Dark Horse) Until July 5th

Received same earlier today: a promo with code, expiring 05 Jul 2023.
  15. Oil catch can YES or NO?

I installed one the day I brought the car home and continue to use one. I feel they are a step towards goodness and provide additional insight as to the health of the engine. Oil and other contaminants are kept out of the intake runners, off the valves and out of the heads. They also give...
  16. S650 Information from ECat (Electronic Catalog) – Part Numbers, Technical Specs, Hidden Features

@roket , Thank You for doing the research and the detailed write-up. :like:.
  17. Price Increase on Dark Horse Premium Model

Feedback from yesterday. @Juzrock , if you confirm with the supporting dealer General Manager they will not provide Price Protection, we'd appreciate knowing who the dealer is, so as to avoid them. Thank You. Regarding the agreement you signed, it reads like you set a specified price. We have...
  18. Automatic Transmission Issues?

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/10r80-owners-ultimate-m6g-10r80-facts-resolutions-to-harsh-or-no-shift-conditions.135463/ Above is a thread with a lot of references and history of the 10r80. I've never owned or driven a vehicle with the 10r80, so I cannot speak to it. Being a modern...
  19. 2024+ Mustang S650 Orders Tracking List & Stats [Enter Yours!]

Generally, yes, the VIN locks the build. If they've issued a VIN, you should have a date of production. Ford has the needed parts on-hand, nearby or scheduled to arrive.
  20. 2024 Mustang No Scheduling This Week (4/27/23) + Build Notes & Key Constraints

Being a new model year with differing economic conditions, I'm not sure anyone has a feel for that. While mine took less than two weeks to arrive, at the other extreme, others have taken 60+ days. Some Members have literally seen their builds sitting at the depot on the other side of the fence...
