I've used Ali Express for years. Bought a lot of bike bits and electronics, duds have been pretty rare. Generally quality is OK. Checking reviews helps, but isn't foolproof. I'd be cautious with safety critical stuff.

I agree. When I picked it up I checked all the things I knew about. Then, over the next week or so, discovered a ton of stuff I had no clue was there.

None of those things put me off. In NZ a S650GT is a performance bargain, thousands, even tens of thousands, less than any other car I may have consdered. Also, I don't think a mass production V8 that spins to 7500 and makes nearly 100hp per litre is ordinary. It's a bloody marvel.

Fair enough. If I didn't use the car almost daily I'd wire a connector for my battery maintainer and use that to keep the battery healthy, and make sure there's no extra draw. My bike battery was still working fine using that system when I sold it after 9 years.

I don't mind not getting Magneride now. It would be useless to me if it's tied to mode. I often had my last car in full fat everything and shocks in comfort for rough roads.
