  1. Warming Up Temp Ranges?

Check. I make shifts "around" 3-4K until fully warmed-up. At speed, engine RPMs will be a bit lower. To compliment that, any accelerations, decelerations, upshifts or downshifts are smooth and a modest pace.
  2. Warming Up Temp Ranges?

I'm gentle with the car until the engine reaches 185 F / 85 C for a few minutes. I have a MT, but the following threads can give insight as to what people are seeing once their AT cars are warmed up. https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/lets-see-your-gauge-details-what-is-normal.161804/...
  3. Anyone know what this noise is ? 2 dealers didn’t …

🍿 I'll be interested to see if this topic develops into either of the following over the coming years: - Ford Technical Service Bulletin. Inspected parts determined to be wearing abnormally should be replaced - Ford Special Service Message. Like the BBQ tick, the sound is considered normal...
  4. Cylinder Head Temperature Always Reads 140F on Cold Start

The S550 engine cold air inlet has a floor of 0 F. The outside air temperature, I checked for a floor and couldn't confirm. I know it will read into -F.
  5. Cylinder Head Temperature Always Reads 140F on Cold Start

    As a reference, the Gen 3 engine and S550 have a CHT floor of 110 F/43 C.
  6. Supercharger Questions / HELP

I do not have direct experience with a supercharger build. While not needing immediate attention, the build will have an impact on the cats. The increased stresses cause the internals to ultimately crack, breakdown and fail. Depending on the amount of power and how driven, they might last a...
  7. Production numbers for the various Mustang models.

I've never seen that level of detail from Ford. I've always felt manufacturers do not disclose, so as not to offer tells to other producers. Marti Reports do become available, but not until years later. In their latest offering, Marti Reports can be purchased up to the Model Year 2020.
  8. Ford doubles down on EV future

For perspective of manufacturer vehicle inventories, I crunched numbers involving some of the larger US vehicle companies. This exercise was to gauge the gravity of the Tesla, 50,000 on-lot number mentioned earlier. Using www.autotrader.com, I did searches for new vehicles on lots throughout...
  9. 2024 Mustang GT PP, had it for 6 days…

Sorry about what happened, but glad you are OK. I continue to appreciate how well these cars can protect us. Considering the amount of damage and especially the multiple airbag deployment, I'd consider the car totaled. I was thinking road debris as well. That, maybe something interfered with...
  10. MagnaRide got screwed up on a roadtrip with horrible roads

There are procedures how to zero-out and recalibrate Magneride. But I do not recommend attempting them yourself for the following reason: the car is under warranty. While there might be an established procedure for clearing and baselining and it might work, it might not. If the dealer senses...
  11. 1000 mile oil change

Agreed. The UPR drain plug works well for me. Femco drain plugs also get high marks. For the filter, I do two things: 1) fashion a funnel from cardboard, so the oil drips into that, then down into the tub, 2) place a few old t-shirts in the area, to catch what the funnel doesn't. Someone made...
  12. 1000 mile oil change

Pricing dealer oil changes is like pricing insurance quotes. Location, type of oil, amount of oil, specials, etc. I checked my local dealer, and it depends. At one end of the spectrum, $60 for conventional oil in a 4-banger. At the other, a large V8 and full synthetic, $160.00. In another part...
  13. Exhaust Emission Sensors - anyone else having issues with them?

I think there's a few things going on. The force and amount of water isn't doing the connector any favor. The connections are designed to work in wet weather and general road spray, but it seems the wash might be doing more than that. Salt is an electrolyte; it's capable of passing an...
  14. 1000 mile oil change

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/first-oil-change-and-analysis.132878/page-2#post-4125644 I've been sending mine out for analysis. For the first several oil changes, the results have continued to improve. I agree: all replacement items should meet or exceed the specification listed in...
  15. The 24C35/24V802 Recall is over! Lets see those cars held hostage by Ford for over 100 days!

The recall information is referenced in Post #2 of this thread. The following link can help anyone check their car. https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls Ford also provides information. https://www.ford.com/support/recalls/ Ford is good about notifying Owners. Affected customers should've received...
  16. Build date to delivery time

Below is some insight I provided in an earlier thread. https://www.google.com/search?q=mustang7g+delivery+time+site:www.mustang7g.com&sca_esv=330d60e69ac8c606&rlz=1C5CHFA_enUS1027US1027&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjWoYCBqruLAxXYkO4BHaAJAkQQrQIoBHoECBMQBQ&biw=1464&bih=742&dpr=2 The dealer can provide...
  17. Low Speed Shake after Changing to All Season Tires

I'm using Michelin A/S 4s and have never had a vibration. Are the tires at the right pressure? I've noticed from my experience and other posts, companies often fill the tires way over, to like 40 psi, 2.75 bar. Are the wheels torqued to the right spec? This should not make a vibration, but you...
  18. The 24C35/24V802 Recall is over! Lets see those cars held hostage by Ford for over 100 days!

As @MCS mentioned, there's a bit of a process. First, Ford has to collect data, confirm there is a problem, notify NTSA, then dealers, customers, etc. Afterwards, determine a fix. It could have been a simple code change. But it also might have involved a chipset, a chip designed and built by a...
  19. Turn off fancy light effects

https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/2024-mustang-forscan-list-database-spreadsheet-by-livinitup.159997/ This is a link to the ForsCAN thread. As part of the first post, there is a link to a public spreadsheet. I opened that, and did a search for "puddle". The results do reference settings...
  20. I'm stumped

If the feature is active, the car should alarm as it normally would when someone has breached the security of the car. The Owner's Manual provides details of the different sensors (movement inside, movement of the vehicle, sudden incline, as in towing, etc.)
