  1. Power steering locked while driving

:giggle:. I downloaded that pic from another Member's post, either here or at the 6G site. I hoover up stuff like that all the time. So many people post great examples of topics. :like:
  2. Power steering locked while driving

For reference purposes, I'm attaching some information on Ford's EPAS, the Electric Power Assisted Steering; it relies on physical components, electronic connections, software and modules. The acronyms help in understanding the Ford document. Modern cars are software and electronic-dense.. ABS...
  3. Questions about oil change

After putting some fresh oil on the O-ring, I tighten mine by hand only. Each filter I've used, there are turn instructions available. I've never had one come undone. If anything, all the heat cycles make it a PITA to remove it later. LOL. Things like this, if there are not specific...
  4. Questions about oil change

No, doing your own maintenance will not affect the warranty. Ford has a reasonable expectation the owner can provide supporting documentation showing: 1. The maintenance schedule was followed 2. Replacement parts met or exceeded the Ford requirement Photos, receipts, log book entries, etc...
  5. 2024 mustang gt Is this noise normal? 30 sec video attached

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/noise-coming-from-left-side-of-engine-need-help-identifying-the-noise.213601/ I think it's the sound of the PCV valve. See the enclosed link, which highlights others noticing the same.
  6. Air Filter

It would benefit RamAir to update their web site, instructions, blog and support areas. RamAir appears to be a UK company, with a US distributor. They sell two broad types of filters: those made of foam and others made of pleated "nanofiber". The oil referenced is to support the foam filter...
  7. 10R80 temperature

"pulls and spirited driving", while in Miami, FL, when air temps are 85 F / 30 C at sea level. https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/normal-a10-transmission-temperatures.166445/ Ford had different objectives when they defined their offerings. A PP or DH might have suited your driving style...
  8. Clutch Pedal Extender?

I'd see it in several models over the years. I Googled Ford just now. This is an option, in the larger vehicles (F150, Expedition, Excursion, Navigator). I suspect the electronics take space and weight.

  10. Watch those crosswalks 🤣

What are the odds... - Driver, red light, past crosswalk, well into intersection, appearing to negotiate running the light - Pedestrian of a suitable height which can walk through the car's interior in the manner he did - Driver behind, with an active dash cam that captures it I get it...
  11. Buying a new Dark Horse….discount off MSRP?

Auto markets are much like real estate: prices are local. In your immediate area, I would expect pricing to be higher. You do have an advantage in that you live in a vehicle-dense location; you'll have a broader selection or potentially an easier time finding. Maybe take a grid approach...
  12. Who's trying to race you?

I haven't noticed any one model in-particular. It's often the driver. Large trucks of all kinds, but especially diesel RAM owners; they always seem to have to prove something. Tesla owners, sometimes. A Tercel, once. A Volvo estate wagon, once. A few people that couldn't stand to be passed...
  13. Break in period RPM?

We've had a few threads with break-in related questions. I'm attaching links to several I've commented within. In general, I took a progressive approach. As engine builders do on their dynos, I increased the working RPM band on the engine very early on. I was routinely hitting 5000-6000 RPM...
  14. Why Brazil gets improved 492 horsepower in 6 sp?

Base price for a GT is R$549,000 Brazilian reals, about US$96,000. There is also a 30%+ import duty. So...US$124,800 and up. https://www.ford.com.br/compre-o-seu/monte-o-seu-novo/?nameplate=Mustang_FBR https://masterclassbrazil.com/managing-a-business-in-brazil/taxes/ipi/#:~:text=IPI car,of...
  15. Why Brazil gets improved 492 horsepower in 6 sp?

I suspect some HP gains will be from the use of ethanol; Brazil refines a huge amount of it, from sugarcane.
  16. What do you think the average age for owning a Mustang is?

You can create a poll thread, with as many choices as you like. You could have two sections, with the voter responding to age, in 10-year increments and trim (Eco, GT, DH). More detailed still, more choices: "20-30 EcoBoost", "20-30 GT", "20-30 DH". And later 31-40...and on.
  17. Summer Only vs All Season Tires in Illinois

Another vote for Michelin 4 A/S tires. I've been using them for several seasons, year-round. At stock HP and suspension, I've never had an issue with traction. Additional benefits include less road debris kicking up against the car and I can go out any time I please. Continental DSWs get very...
  18. Did Mustangs in Europe came to end?

https://oec.world/en This is a web site which offers visual breakdowns of trade of products the world over; it's quite granular. The free data is current to 2023. - Once there, search for a country. We'll use "Czech" in this example - Initially, you'll see the Pro (paid) information...
  19. Rattle from under car/possibly exhaust over 200 degrees

It certainly sounds like something is loose. Or there's something trapped underneath the car. Could be anything, from a loose/flapping belly pan, suspension, exhaust, etc. It does not sound like something internal to the engine or the transmission. If you can, I'd start with a simple, total...
  20. Automatic Update Installed recall fix (24C35/24V802)?

https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/the-24c35-24v802-recall-is-over-lets-see-those-cars-held-hostage-by-ford-for-over-100-days.165488/#post-3351494 I do not have an answer, but will reference a related thread I've commented in.
