C8s wont let you hit redline until break in miles are complete......maybe that is the case here as well.....I can't see Ford putting a soft limiter on before redline.......something doesnt make sense
Thank you @GreenBarkingFrog @goodlettjr
Anyways I have always had good luck with carcovers.com products
I have the optional $400 car cover for my 350 (came with the car) and I'm not impressed with the quality.... its kind of a cool accessory though ....
Unfortunately where I am at in...
Cool .....heard about dryer sheets- will try using....nice combo on the S2000 and Mustang- I've owned a couple of AP2s over the years.....great drivers car
That makes sense.....I would use the outdoor cover as well even though technically it is indoors in the barn....just curious....what do you do to keep the mice away? Im in CA but on the edge of town in the suburbs- nowhere near a city- live by a river (well at least its a river when it actually...
Personally I wouldnt spend 70K+ on a car if I didnt have a garage to keep it in......would probably be saving that money for a down payment on a house/ condo with a garage- or if I owned an older home with no garage- would be using that 70K to build a garage for a future vehicle....
I think if it weighs the same with 25hp more it will be good for another 1/10th or so... depends how well it puts the power down...assuming the same...
I don't put faith in Stangmode or Edmunds or any magazine... I want to see what real people are putting down at the track...
And even if...
I think the issue is integration into the dash as well... I'm definitely not anti tablet... I dig the fox body graphics... as a 48 year old guy that grew up on fox bodies and currently own a GT350R... I feel like I am the target market...
If they would have integrated into the dash more with a...
Seems to be tons of talk about steering - more direct vs less feel -
How would you compare the Dark Horse to Mach 1 or 350R in terms of steering feel/ turn in/ exc ?
Yes and I can definitely say without a doubt my 350R 10000% tramlines -
It sounds like turn in is faster on the new car- so there it is improved.....more direct....but with less feel and assuming no tramlining since not mentioned
So I can see how it might feel better to some- worst to others...
I have watched 2 reviews so far....and both of them mention light steering/ lack of feedback.....but that you can listen to the tires (if you dont have the exhaust in loud mode) and feel the car....
I watched the one with the GT350 owner as was very curious to get his feedback- overall...
I'm with you 100% hence why I have a 350 now and not a 500... I could care less about lap times or drag racing... I mean it I just wanted to win drag races I'd buy a Tesla...
To me it's all about experience hence why I'm back with a manual
Prior to my GT350 I owned an 18 PP1 10 speed car......prior to that I would have NEVER considered getting an automatic Mustang....but the 10 speed in the GT is that good......its extremely intuitive and yes you can still use paddle shifters but in sport mode didnt ever feel like I really needed...
They repaved the track between when the GT350 ran and when the Mach 1 ran....different days/ different temperatures.....different pavement.... so yes there is an issue with comparing the 2 track times....
That being said....I dont expect the times would be that far off- same for the Dark Horse...
For comparison....the Throttle House review on the GT350
Ford Shelby GT350R Quick Review // One Of The All-Time Greats - YouTube
They call the steering great.....so thats what makes me crazy....Ford has the capability......so why not....I mean at this point say if the MSRP is 1000 more for...
From Road and Track
"A numb front end with next to zero steering feel doesn’t help things, and occasionally creates a sketchy ice-skatey vibe because you don’t know how much grip is available."
Starting to wonder if some reviewers just kissing Fords ....you know what to stay in good graces
PS...
The crazy thing with the throttle house review was that they loved the steering in the GT350....I was really hoping they would have taken what they learned with the GT350 steering and applied it to the standard S650 GT .......not a huge fan of over boosted steering ....well at least they said it...
Also should be noted the Mach 1 lap time was 3 years later after they had repaved the circuit .. different weather conditions...not saying it won't be close but I'd like to see same driver same day same track...if you just want the best magazine numbers buy a Tesla ...
Not hating on the Dark Horse... I love all Mustangs... but the gen 2 Voodoo is MUCH less prone to burn oil or have issues then the first one. If you check the S550 forums.. you will see F150 Coyote motors also burn oil... in fact the Coyote in my Roush F150 burns more oil then my gen 2 voodoo as...
