  1. Startup after sitting LONG / Oil pressure

(For what its worth, worn bearings don't typically kill motors unless you've been doing stupid stuff.)
  2. S650 Annoying noises and rattles

If you think Ford's bad, be thankful you don't have a Lotus.
  3. DIY: First Oil Change w/ Ramps

I'm pleased the Tech has mine dead centre on the dipstick after it's service. It's little details that build confidence.

  7. S650 LIMP MODE

What is useful are the anti carjack devices popular in South Africa a while back. Sheets of flame shooting out from under the doors at shin level.
  8. Startup after sitting LONG / Oil pressure

A spun bearing can very definitely kill an engine. Once they seize a rod can break or a crank.
  9. How exactly do cooled/heated seats work?

I'm not always right, but I'm never wrong.
  10. Startup after sitting LONG / Oil pressure

Here's something weird, after my service a week ago, oil pressure is now higher at highway speeds. About 1 bar = 14.5 psi on average. So about 60 - 75psi. I had Mobil 1 5w/30 in, the dealer put in Castrol 5w/30. I can only assume Castrol has a higher CsT rating. PS. I just checked, Mobil has a...
  11. How exactly do cooled/heated seats work?

I don't know the mechanics of them. Obviously ducted cooled air, and they're bloody marvelous.

  14. Mr Jim Farley - Hear Me Out...

I guess affordability is in the eye of the beholder. Down here the Mustang we get is a bargain. If I had bought the 2025 Cupra Formentor, specced how I wanted it, (like the Mustang) it would have been a $NZ100k plus car with 333hp. In fact, the current limited edition with my spec and extra...
  15. Mr Jim Farley - Hear Me Out...

I have to disagree. Toyotas recipe was exactly right. It was never intended to be a powerhouse, it was designed to slide. They even put eco tyres on the thing to reduce grip. What was exactly wrong was the hole they put in the torque curve. Pottering around up to 2500rpm was fine, nailing it at...
  16. At the risk of..........

This is the benefit of a 1st world roading system. I wish we had one.
  17. Stupid dealership decals.

Our dealers put number plate surrounds with their logo on. I'm not a fan.
  18. S650 LIMP MODE

When I saw this vid I remembered the YT vid of some 'tard with more money than sense reving the nuts off his Lamborghini at the lights and setting it on fire. Not that I'm referring to the Op in the same terms.
  19. S650 LIMP MODE

    I'm speechless. Why?
  20. At the risk of..........

Starting another elongated economy thread, I've just travelled up to Auckland to renew my passport, 500 kms return. I can't believe I averaged 10.1L per 100kms. That's 23.2 miles per every one of those tiny gallons you guys have in the US:). The best numbers yet. This was not economy driving...
