this is not inherently true. if they wanted a GTD hood, then yeah it would be. but the SC is a standard production vehicle, and there's no limitations to buying GT500 parts, so why would there be for the GT500 2 Dark Horse SC?
anyway, OP, here's the part number for the SC hood. TR3Z-16612-A...
welcome to the world of Ford Motor Company products. their choices seldom make sense and it's infuriating. for example, why can i only option the $995 black roof or $3000 teal accent package on the Dark Horse SC as long as i have the $36500 track package? i don't think even Ford knows, and...
should clarify: i'm not grabbing onto the wing and yanking it down. i put my hand here on where it mounts to the trunk lid, and just pull it until it closes on it's own. no pressure or force. been closing it this way every time since i got it late 2023 and there's been no issues yet
i personally use the base of the side of the wing to close it, but since you don't have a spoiler at all, here's a thread that might help

i cannot say for certain, but i think Whipple and Ford updated the algorithm for the tune with the new oil weight in mind. but it's also possible that they didn't bother either because they forgot, didn't care, or found it still within acceptable range. i would send an inquiry to Whipple and ask...
it's a whole host of things including cylinder head temp, coolant temp, current and recent RPM and gears, throttle input, and so much more. the result is a fairly accurate reading from what i've heard, as long as you're running 5W30
oh yeah, i wasn't gonna keep the X pipe. no way. probably gonna have a local shop fabricate a single or double H pipe, since i doubt a Corsa midpipe fits a Borla system, along with the sheer price of Corsa's HH pipe. over $600 for a midpipe is a bit much to me
i was thinking about the AWE, but i'm very much looking for a deeper tone, and at least from what Borla vs AWE have put out video-wise, the S-Type is what i'm looking for. at all costs i want to avoid the terrible rasp of the S550 gen systems. plus, the AWE Switchpath is $500 more than the Borla...
Has anyone actually gotten the S-Type Borla cat-back for their Dark Horse? i'm thinking about getting it, but i am not sure if i believe the audio clips they've published on it. and no, i have no interest in getting the Atak. someone i know has a catless S650 GT with the Atak and it's just way...
yeah, i was really salty yesterday. i do think the color choices are not fantastic, but out of all of them, Adriatic Blue is the most interesting choice. would be even better if they offered Orange Fury and Molten Magenta
yeah, i may be just a little bitter.
to be honest, i was mainly looking forward to the brakes, especially the carbon ceramics. maybe in a couple model years i'll fold over and compromise my stance and get an SC, if the colors are better and the i am able to afford it. or maybe i'll just retrofit...
you know what, i think the colors deserve more fitting names for the SC
Adriatic "sick at sea" Blue
Avalanche "remember the good times pls" Grey
Argon "shit, this wasn't as good of a seller on the super duty as we hoped so we're putting this on everything" Blue
Carbonized "depressing grey made...
yeah, maybe a 2028 or something, but i'm not holding my breath. Ford seems to have gotten so full of themselves and i'm getting less interested in funding their delusions
i'm out. i'm not interested in playing Ford's games here. i already deal with their nonsense enough at work. for a car starting at $103k, you have the wonderous color options of:
blue
grey
blue
grey
white
red
black
that's just depressing...
