Ive driven all 3 multiple times (well my 350R I guess you could say have driven it more then multiple times lol)
But I would say the comparison and comments have been pretty spot on based on my experience
350 - more raw/ more character - fun for a weekend car but can be a little much if...
But it also has a ton of cost savings with less buttons and more screens .......
Hopefully no one buying a DH SC because of the technology...there are Teslas for that....
remove the carbon trap filter things and call it a day.......unless of course you just want something that looks good.......I would also explore Roush and Steeda - some high quality stuff (if they make something)
I made the same mistake and so did my dad … my dad had a 73 911 S that he sold in early 90s for like 12k lol now it’s like a 300k car … I almost bought an air cooled 911 … I think it was an 87… G50 transmission.. only like 40k miles about 4 years ago or maybe 5 … but it was at a Porsche dealer...
the aftermarket always steps in….
I had a 67 GT500 for many years … sold it in 2020 … with a little work I could find parts …and you are talking about a 50+ year old extremely limited car …
same thing on the fox bodies …those are 35 years old now and you would be amazed at what you can find...
I’ve gone a few times to the dealer with the intent of exchanging my car for a gt500 cftp and each time I don’t… the cftp has incredible acceleration and the DCT is awesome but you can feel the extra weight of the blower on the front of the car … it drives heavier and doesn’t feel as tossable …...
PS- if I really only cared about lap times....I would probably start off with a base GT and mod the every living crap out of it.........not sure I would start off with a Dark Horse or a GT350.....I think if anything the Mach 1 would be the best starting point as mentioned just because of how...
Ive driven a few Dark Horse handling packs now and awesome cars.....definitely very good.....but they are also much more refined then the 350/350R .....I could daily drive a Dark Horse for sure....but would never daily a 350R because its very "edgy" it doesnt ever feel relaxed.....its constantly...
And dont forget the extra air intake/ air filter .....I mean that had to add weight too!!
Joking aside...I think its the tuning in the steering/ suspension....I think they swung the refinement pendulum a little too far .......gives the impression of being heavier then it is
When I had my...
Orange County CA .....multiple car shows weekly .......just about every night of the week
