  1. Low battery warnings and things shutting off (2024 Eco-Boost)

In the last three days, I've have several low battery alerts (warning?). The one this morning said (sic) low battery, exit warning isn't active... I've read on-line references to this very issue, but no TSB on Ford's site. Anyone else have this issue? (These alerts are similar to the ones I got...
  2. Yet another software update.

Got into my '24 Mustang this morning, and a screen popped up telling me I had received another update, replete with version number! Only this time, the colors did not change nor did the chimes. And, I noticed the stop/start feature (?) was already switched off! I wonder if others have gotten an...
  3. Software update 4/24/26

I received another software update this morning. I know this, because the "MyColors" changed. I may be incorrect, but it appears to set the Engine Idle Shutoff to opt in, rather than opt out. Has anyone else noticed this?
  4. TREMEC Transition?

There are a couple of YouTube vids about TREMEC stopping production of their manual transmissions. I don't believe that is the case. What I'm more interested in, is their new six speed transaxle. All things about the Mustang considered (especially F/R bias), it is indeed possible the next...
  5. 2024 Ford Perforce Tune for EcoBoost - who's installed?

Who all have installed FPT in their Eco-Boost?
  6. Remote Shutdown Mandate [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

If you're a gear head, you know congress has mandated remote shutdown. The mandated date is 2027 models. The idea (at least what they're telling people) is to give police the ability to shut down a drunk driver or perhaps an escaping villain of some sort. Or.... Let's say the fed wants to stop...
  7. I don't want to buy something I can't use!

Albeit an Apple beta tester, I do own an HP laptop with Windows 11. It seems that more 'stuff' is supported using a PC, but I don't know the best approach. I would think a wired interface to the OBD is adequate, but Amazon lists about ten different ones. What I'm after are a few mods with...
  8. Ford Performance Tune add-ons

If you're thinking of adding after-market additions to your 2024 Eco-Boost Mustang as an adjunct to the FPT, here is something you need to know. At least two companies offer larger (?) intercoolers, with their only real advantage is the fact their end connections are aluminum rather than...
  9. Question about center display

Based solely on YouTube videos, certain trim levels allow users to customize the center display with personalized photos. Look as I might, I cannot find which trim level offers this. Does any one here know? Thanks and Merry Christmas.
  10. I have a question about the GT tune?

Several posts here have asked (complained?) about the GT's throttle response. I've driven two different GTs (auto and stick) and neither one was what I would call sluggish. So-called pedal commanders do change the ratio between pedal and throttle plate, but from a personal point of view, they...
  11. Kudos to Ford's Performance Parts Team!

If you’re a gear head and own a Mustang, sooner or later you’re going to interface with the Ford Performance Parts support team (https://performanceparts.ford.com/contact-us/). Their support position is not one to envy, but one we all should be thankful they exist at all. Recently, if it...
  12. Mustang owner's color preferences

There is one facet about Mustangs which defy the norm, and that is a preference for darker colors. Over the whole automobile industry, White at 25% is the most popular, with Black at 22% a close second. These are followed by Gray at 18% and Silver at 10%, and typically in shades towards the...
  13. Is it me, or is Ford trying to be a Bigger Big Brother?

I drive in Sports Mode most of the time, as it seems to be the best mode for stop&go driving. I have the traction control turned off in the setup for Sports Mode, however, you have actually turn it off via the Skid-icon. If memory serves, you used to be able to turn off the Stability Control...
  14. New Firmware update

Yet another version of firmware uploaded during the night. The colors changed, and it turned on the traction control in my programmed Sports mode. Maybe they're trying to tell me something?
  15. One Year Ownership Review

My 2024 Mustang Eco-Boost Premium will be in my hands for one full year beginning the 22nd of this month. It is essentially a second vehicle, as I also own a 2019 Ranger. It was delivered with 283 miles on the OD, and it is now just over 2,500 miles. Here are my comments about it, compared to my...
  16. Software updates.

As most folks here already know, when software gets updated, Ford in their infinite wisdom (?) resets the dash colors and gauge layouts among other stuff. Well, that happened to me about noonish today. When I checked the software version, it was 24C35. I believe that was the version my dealer...
  17. Vanity License Plates

License plates, vanity or otherwise, often get blanked out when photos are posted herein. Perhaps it is a security issue with some owners? However, you’re more likely to have your license plate memorized or caught on a dash cam because you’re driving erratically than any other issue. The latter...
  18. Play with me for a bit

The most expensive 2024/2025 Mustang you can buy, assuming a Dark Horse with a Whipple and all the extras, totals just under $100K. So lets assume that is the top price, which excludes 99% of what one could call an exotic. Further, which that in mind, doing a bit of research, you’ll find out...
  19. Another Dark Horse?

I don't know whether to rejoice or shrug in silence, at the announcement Ford is coming out with an F150 Dark Horse model with the 500 HP coyote engine. Bolt on a Whipple, and you now have the World's fastest production pickup. It might even surpass the Mustang Dark Horse considering its four...
  20. What's with the mileage?

My 2024 Eco-Boost Premium, non PP, was delivered with 283 miles on it, as it was driven from a dealer in Los Cruses, to my dealer here in Roswell. The dash showed 29.6 mpg, but some of that was due to idling while waiting until the highway reopened near White Sands (missile launch). Since the...
