The 4.6 had no chance against the LS1 unless you boosted it. You could easily do 450rwhp with heads/cam/intake on the LS1 back then. All the parts are better now so you can 500rwhp.

They don't sound as good as the 4.6, that's for sure. It doesn't help when people put headers, X pipe, and Borla ATAK/Corsa Extremes on them. I don't think it's fair to blame the engine, though. A Coyote swapped SN95 or Fox sounds just fine, since the mufflers are in the right place.
