Appreciate your input, it definitely feels as if it redlines at 6k rpm, the engine cuts off and like another poster said, it almost feels dangerous, now I'm afraid to do pulls knowing it can cut off like that. I'm going to test it in other drive modes. I have also looked at the launch control...
Have you done any mods to your car? let me know if you find anything out, hoping to gather some info on this before taking it to the dealer. The service dept at the dealer is never too helpful with these kind of things.
my mustang completely shuts off before hitting 6000 RPM's as if it hit redline, it does this intermittently, not like a loss of power but more of a complete engine shut off.
Gotcha, ill try the Ohm meter! yeah i feel you I'm the same way, but im buying this straight from the dealer its a oem ford part and its completely plug play, i'm really hoping this fixes the issue, even if not i hope the noisy clutch goes away, its been doing it since i first got the car.
Nope, going to try this before i take it to the dealer, service sucks, i took it in for the noise in the clutch spring and they told me there wasn't anything damaged so there's nothing else they could do. Don't want to leave my car there for a couple of days just for them to tell me they...
Just recently i noticed my mustang hits the rev limiter at 6000 Rpms when i step on it. It is a 6 speed MT and does it on and off, it feels as if the car hit red line while driving and sometimes the auto rev match does not work. I'm going to replace the clutch safety switch as i read somewhere...
Did they ever figure this out? I switched to a Steeda clutch spring and during install I realized the noise is coming from the clutch starter safety switch. I ended up having issues with the Steeda spring though.
Super late bro, but I started taking it to a shop in Hayward called six50 motors. They specialize In older mustangs mainly foxbodys but the owner is super knowledgeable with all fords. He installed my H pipe at a reasonable price. I believe he has done suspension work on a dark horse before as...
quick update, I took it to the dealer for diag, they told me that there was no damage or faulty components so there was nothing they could do,that it’s just spring tension noise. I didn’t want to argue with them, but I know a new car clutch is not supposed to make any sound. I ended up ordering...
Hello there, I have a 2024 GT performance package, I reside in the bay area. Was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a reliable shop for basic installs and service. Just looking to find somewhere that is trustworthy and has experience with s650 mustangs. I need to have my suspension...
