I've seen so many reviews of the Dark Horse now, and this is my favourite. It's the only one I've seen that perfectly expresses the emotional significance of this vehicle.
So happy for you! I joined this forum only recently due to the recall stuff, and until now I hadn't read your original message with your full story. Wow. What an incredible journey, haha. Now I don't feel quite so bad with my relatively short wait.
Your car is STUNNING mate. What a gorgeous...
From memory, my car actually arrived at the dealer in January. I'm not sure when it actually arrived in Australia.
The dealer has now confirmed I am definitely picking her up at 2pm on Monday! Can't wait.
Well, I got a call from the dealer this arvo - update has been done successfully. Car should be ready to pick up on Monday afternoon. Just waiting for confirmation as they are going to send it in for detailing over the weekend. Phew.
Thanks mate. The moral support here has genuinely helped, haha. I can't wait to see your baby as well - I had a good look at the Dark Horse at my local dealership and it was extremely tempting. Such a stunning car. I know you'll love it.
I also just got a call from the dealer. They aren't going to update my car until Monday. Apparently there's a 7 hour upload time (!!!) - I assume this relates to uploading data to the control unit. The dealer has complained to Ford, who have said that a compressed patch is incoming.
The reason...
That's good to hear. My dealership told me that there is news, and that they're "awaiting confirmation" and will call me shortly. That was a couple of hours ago now. We'll see how it goes...
Oh man, I'm reading this at the end of the workday here in Melbourne. You made my day!! I'm so happy for you. And what a true stunner you have on your hands there! Awesome stuff. Thanks for the encouragement. Give her an extra rev for me, heh. :P
I have been thinking about this too. I need to go back and read the contract of sale, but I presume that - worst comes to worst - I could probably legally withdraw from that contract and demand my deposit back. That equates to just under $3K in my case, so not really very much compared to the...
Oh man. In that case, I shouldn't expect good news tomorrow morning. It sounds like I'll be having the begging-for-a-demo in the meantime conversation, heh. :\
Either way I'll let you all know what happens.
Well, my vehicle is "currently in the workshop to begin the recalls" according to the dealership. They've advised they will have an update for me tomorrow morning. I have told them that either a) they give me a clear ETA to pick up the car or b) they provide a demo vehicle until my car is ready...
I ordered my vehicle in December and was due to pick it up last Thursday. I got a call from the dealership on Wednesday advising me that my VIN is part of the recall. Shouldn't the dealership have told me about the recall when I ordered? It looks like they would have known back in November...
