Motorcraft sells every connector for this car as a replacement item, dig thru the Motorcraft catalog and find a male and female pigtailed connector, extend the wires yourself and you are in business.
I hope they are not too expensive, I have found recently GM pigtails are bend me over and do...
Actually I am a seasoned citizen with more than 50 years of wrenching on Fords
The Ecoboosts are garbage, the 4 and 6 cylinder engines are eating timing sets and water pumps faster than they are wearing thru brakes and tires.
Sure Ford has had come issues over the years, every manufacturer has...
the 4.6 was one of the most underpowered non upgradable engines Ford ever used.
If you think they were weak in the Mustang, drive an F150 with one of them
But then again the 5.4 of that era was a dog too, the 2V and Triton's were equally as bad.
When I got my 2007 GT Premium ragtop in...
We have had them in the shop too, and when you sit in one and give it a good looking over you see how cheaply they were made, if you weigh more than 100 pounds the seat backs bent and the cushions collapsed.
I was offered first shot at an 87 GT that a friend bought new, was in his garage for a...
I always wanted a 69 after I painted a friends car in shop class and got to drive it frequently
I ended up with a 70 Chevelle as my first car because in 1976 all the 69 Mustangs in MA were rot boxes
A couple of years ago, and I already had my 07 GT ragtop, we had three really nice 69/70's come...
The "Love Bugs" are showing up here on the west coast (Fort Myers) so the bikes and Mustang are now garage bound until I leave in 3 weeks.
My poor Highlander will have to take the abuse of being covered in bug guts.
I can't wait to see what it looks like after I do the 5.5 hours from here to...
well.... I have had 3 ragtops in the last 25 years, A Porsche, a sweet 2007 GT Premium and the current 2024
3.5 if you count the removable roof on my C4
I live in FL from mid to late Sept til early May.
The car sees 2000 miles a year.
When it is hot you are putting the top up. Even my 07...
10 HP is undetectable by a "butt dyno" and well within the range of error for any dyno. Any dyno is going to vary one to two percent. 10 HP on a 480 HP car is 1/48 which is close enough to 2% to say "we don't know" even if you did 3 pulls with them in and 3 out
Which brings me back to my...
You are talking about a Ford Racing / Ford Performance tune for the Coyote in the 7th gen Mustang with the 4th gen Coyote right?
There IS a tune, it was C.A.R.B. approved, there is even a Ford P/N attached to the tune in the filing/approval from the California Air Resources Board.
You know...
I just helped a neighbor with an oil change on a lexus, easy enough to to it is just like a Toyota so I have the filter wrenches and screw in funnel for that right at hand, A week later I fixed some body damage for him....
Another neighbor had a speed sensor go out on his BMW, went in with the...
All of us that have worked professionally as a tech have seen some lazy or incompetent mechanic screw things up
Late 60's/ early 70's MOPARS with big engines that come in for tune ups with high mileage and the left rear spark plug was OEM because they were too much of a problem for the previous...
They can't sell what they have on the the lot because at that price point, for a 2 door car there is stiff competition from GM with the C8, and any one of a half dozen Euro options with 4 doors that is more practical for most people.
My local dealer has EIGHT in inventory from 68K to 78K
Take...
Saleen has gone bankrupt how many times?
They have been thru multiple owners, IIRC the current one is some Chinese company
Steve Saleen's involvement?
He has come and gone and come.... who knows
I think the company is pretty much dead at this point
Anyone who has any interest or knowledge...
I work in a shop
I have access to lifts, etc.
Even where the car is in FL, I have all I need to change the oil on almost any car, and my neighbors will ask to come by and use the garage to change their oil.
They have to take the used oil with them is my only condition for use of the garage...
True, and it is cheaper to make than say cast aluminum that has to be machined or stamped steel that has to be painted and have a drain plug bung welded into it.
when you replace UAW workers with robotic welding, robotic painting, and reasonably current manufacturing processes you can make a good car.
Machining and materials have jumped light years in just a few years, the precision and tolerances of current machining methods were unthinkable 40 years...
