  1. With the s650 GT being an AWD hybrid v8 - would it still be considered a muscle car?

Automotive journalists still quote it as one. They are more qualified at this than you, so we will go with that. But you are right, they should probably just stick to calling it a sports coupe or German muscle car since it basically out performs all of the Pony cars at just about every...
  2. With the s650 GT being an AWD hybrid v8 - would it still be considered a muscle car?

It's the same configuration as a Mustang, not just being a 2 door coupe, but being a 2 door coupe., with a long hood, short tail, 2+2 configuration.
  3. S650 Mustang INTERIOR First Look Spyshots! + More Exterior Shots

Between the wheels and interior, looks like they are copying BMW's homework.
  4. They HAVE to ditch the MT-82 this time around, right?

It won't happen, but I rather ford ditch the 10r80 for a ZF8.
  5. They HAVE to ditch the MT-82 this time around, right?

Why the desire for the TR3160? It won't hold the power the MT82 holds. Yes, I said what I said. Neither are great transmissions, but the MT82 holds the power better and at higher rpm.
  6. Ford needs to offer rwd and AWD on the new Mustang!!! Changing traction via a toggle switch.

The M3/M4 has an amazing launch control system. Another thing to consider is, it is common knowledge BMW underrates their cars terribly. Most new M3/M4's are dynoing at the wheels what they are rated at the engine.
  7. Ford needs to offer rwd and AWD on the new Mustang!!! Changing traction via a toggle switch.

BMW does this, you can fully shut off the front wheels, and go RWD only.
  8. Ford needs to offer rwd and AWD on the new Mustang!!! Changing traction via a toggle switch.

No it does not, they are about the exact same price, and even top out at roughly the same price when fully optioned. I own a M4 Competition with xDrive, thats fully loaded. It's actually a few thousand less than a CFTP GT500 with painted stripes. Now what BMW did do really well is add the M...
  9. S650 will not offer any type of AWD (Ford Authority)

This would be a mistake on Ford's part. BMW is offering for it's current M3 and M4, the option of RWD only, or AWD (with the ability to shut it off and go 100% RWD). The AWD cars are putting down blistering numbers vs. their RWD counterparts. At the drag strip and the road course.
  10. With the s650 GT being an AWD hybrid v8 - would it still be considered a muscle car?

The 2022 BMW M4 can come in AWD, and it is still referred to as a German Muscle / Pony car. It's the same configuration as a Mustang.
  11. “Next Gen” Mustang Will be Electric (EV) Only Claims Autoline

Ahh ok, thought it was still on CD6.
  12. “Next Gen” Mustang Will be Electric (EV) Only Claims Autoline

Isn't the new S650 platform very much so like a skateboard? I thought I remember reading somewhere the "Explorer's platform" was designed to be very much so EV development friendly?
  13. “Next Gen” Mustang Will be Electric (EV) Only Claims Autoline

I know you're fairly spot on with a lot of things, but with the Mach E released this year, I'd have to assume we will definitely see an EV Mustang Coupe sometime in the S650 generation. Most definitely agree on the hybrid, but I'd assume the EV may come toward the end of the generation as a...
  14. “Next Gen” Mustang Will be Electric (EV) Only Claims Autoline

There will most likely be quite a few EV Mustang Coupes, but I doubt the internal combustion engine will be absent from the S650.
