this is exactly my issue with the new model it has to be a worthy upgrade not just a nice interior and 500hp. Honestly it feels like 2005 all over again no competition so let’s be lazy
It’s not exactly wrong ford had a lot of growing pains with the gen 3 that flat out didn’t exist with the prior gen 2 at launch. The sad truth is with tightening emissions and more oems using a boost to offset CO2 regulations. N/A engines are pretty much dead so ford is basically throwing every...
Im fully aware that the mach 1 and bullitt are washed over gt350 parts honestly it’s reminds me of the 01 model than anything else
So either we are fixing to get an update mach 1/bullitt engine or something new
just my opinion
Ford should just make the Mustang premium required and just get it over with. Gas quality continues to nose dive so why bother with having the engines Ecu worry about 87 and anything in between unless it’s an emergency. They’ll always have a timing table for bad gas
so my thing is Fock it they...
there is very little benefit of a spray in liner to an end user unless it was maybe a closed deck block and it helped out with piston cooling. That’s a real stretch and as far as cost you bet. I’d imagine they’re saving 20-30 bucks on every engine NeverMind the machining costs. For ford it’s a...
Plasma arc wire transfer is great when used in a vacuum or in small production projects. I think major issues from the gen 3 came from the fact they outsourced it plus they went to a semi open deck block that loves to move around because of the 12:1 compression, and the need to properly cool the...
A lot of the f150 boys consider it to be a gen 4 coyote and it kinda is. They changed a lot of stuff in 21 on the 5.0. External oil pump, cylinder deactivation and some VCT changes it’s really more like a 3.5 generation
im All for saving some gas with auto start stop and cylinder deactivation...
And as far as the comment above about HR, they definitely do get salty about it. When the bronco was leaked they handed out papers basically saying stfu lol. But considering this is a bs rumor and i have absolutely no prove it’ll be alright
also 99 percent of the leaks are from outside sources...
first and foremost this would considerably increase throttle response and top end power
The big issue i see is hood clearance it’s well know frpp tried to use e modified cobra jet intake on the gt350 and failed which is why we got the gt350 intake manifold
point being if this end up true we do...
Normally i lol at these sort of rumors but i got a friend who works for roush that said it’ll have some form of duel intake. Then last week upper management said the same thing at a plant meeting
so who knows
Getting to 500hp if they use the mach 1 variant wouldn’t be very hard the issue really is after that. When the coyote came out it was slated for a 10 year lifespan. Once we start getting into 500-525hp they’re going to have to either
1) spend a lot of money higher compression, better heads...
As I’ve said in the other posts it’s either going to be 1 or two things
1) the mach 1/bullitt engine with some updates
2) a true gen 4 engine with major improvements I’ve even heard of a twin throttle body rumor from upper management at da plant
that’s pretty much it either or
this is 100 percent correct as I’ve said in the past the coyote was originally slated for a 10 year production run based on then current “2010” emission targets. The reality is the coyote will be on its last legs for this generation. I’d love to see ford just go all out and make it the best V8...
