I understand that part of it. I am just having a hard time understanding how the volume to the Austin/ San Antonio area could be low compared with other parts of the country.
Yep. My sales person just keeps telling me sheāll let me know as soon as she hears something. It is certainly a mystery how Ford manages their shipments.
Since Iām coming up on 3 weeks with my car (unofficially) sitting at Ramp 51, I was curious how long some othersā cars sat at the rail yard waiting to be shipped. I have heard about some sitting there for a month or more.
Yes, absolutely meaningless. Itās basically the equivalent of a customer service rep coming back on the line just so you know theyāre still there.
Did yours ship by rail or convoy?
Pretty much the same here. Got that email a week or so ago. Per Vin view, my car was built on 10/13 and has been at rail yard 51 since then, but my tracker still has no date next to Built. I have shown āIn Productionā for 32 days and counting. No ETA listed in Vin view. Mine is almost fully...
Glad you could figure it out. Your (mis)adventure, as well as āwinterā showing up in Texas yesterday prompted me to look for some good all-season tires to swap out when I get mine.
Yeah I realized later that I misunderstood, lol, but didnāt feel like going back and editing my post. I was thinking they werenāt building any more at all!
This may not be what it means or what they were going for, but if you put the letters together it sounds an awful lot like a racial slur or what some members of a particular culture call each other.
Ok thanks, that is interesting. Chat tells me mine is still in production, but I don't even have a date below "In production" yet. I know mine won't get here until it gets here no matter what the tracker and chat say, but it would be nice to know where it really stands without having to pester...
