I went back and forth between the G2 and a spray. I ended up using the Rust-Oleum caliper paint with VHT gloss clear coat. It's not perfect, but the only ones that will notice are mechanics.
I'd love to get your thoughts when you do install it. It might be the only option for now. The light doesn't look long and skinny like the stock light does and I'd prefer it not to be a brake light as well, but if it's all we have, I'll just have to bite the bullet. I'm sure you've seen them...
I've been looking at these as well. I'd like to get the OEM kit but I'm not positive it will fit the GTs. There are a few other options in carbon fiber, but the fitments also say DH only. MP Concepts has one, but I don't like the change in reverse light on theirs.
Certainly. Even the performance package splitter is underwhelming. I didn't want the huge RTR splitter. It had to be one piece that wasn't just held on by automotive tape. So even though I liked the subtlety of the Air Design option, it wasn't going to work. I really liked the Feral Industries...
My NYTOP splitter extension came today. With a bit of help, it took about an hour to install. What I like about this one is that it's one piece that uses the pre-existing hardware. You just remove the 12 screws, fit this on underneath, and screw them back in. It also comes with nine additional...
The lead time on these parts is insane. I'm expecting mine mid November, ordered August 31st. I'm not in any rush, but damn, it shouldn't take ten weeks for everything. Glad you're finally getting yours. It'll look so good.
Yeah, there were a few extras in there. For the cover plates, I used the little roll of tape and put a few strips between the bolts. Those other three are just for alignment. Only the ends get bolted to the spoiler module with the old hardware.
Yeah it matches pretty well.
For the front splitter, I just ordered the NYTOP extension. The RTR is too big for my taste. I liked the look of the Feral Industries, but there's a thread on here about them that turned me off. Auto Addict has this:
DH kit
But that's an entire front end. I've read...
I got my spoiler from Hong Kong faster than the one from California. It only took three days. Auto Addict shipped theirs ground, so that one took like a week.
So far, so good. I think the heat helped cure the adhesive sooner. I ran it through a touchless car wash the day after I installed it and it has rained the last two days, and it's still bonded perfectly. As far as stability while driving, I've only reached 90-95 and didn't notice anything...
